Firstly, I apologize if the last few sentences in my Gorgon reveal update were weird, I meant to state that the (quick) poll posted today will be narrowing it down again, because there were a lot of possibilities I presented before. So that is attached now including the top 3 results from before! Once the popular vote is clear, I'll get started on the art! I am a little partial towards the winner of the last poll, only because I haven't made any frosted acrylic charms before (though I am getting my first coffin buttons made right now for Colossalcon).
I have bad brain fog, so no matter how many times I proofread an update, I often catch problems with it minutes after publishing. If you have any questions, please do always ask!
Alright!!! So....we're here at the last reveal!
Once you've woken her, you're stuck with her! Make sure to cherish her, she will protect you until your dying breath.
Mummy is the only design that has a "background"! She has an Eye of Horus behind her and an Ankh in her hand, because she is meant to convey immortality and (increasing over time) vitality. However, I did draw her pretty gaunt to make it clear she is still not healthy (at least yet).
I think if we were to get tropey, she's a harmless-type yandere...
That's it for the girls whose designs I have done! After the EB reward is decided, I'll run a final popularity poll of all girls just out of curiosity 💗

First of all, to everyone who has decided to follow along from the teaser page, I want to say thank you for showing interest in this little project. This is my first jump into crowdfunding. With a lot of advice from some wonderful friends who have many of their own campaigns under their belt, I am very excited to share this project with you.
I wanted to drop in to let you know that for the first 48 hours of the campaign going live, I will have an early bird offer of one free 3-inch sticker. You will get to choose from four designs in the survey that I will send out at the end of the campaign.
These designs were actually the first I made while brainstorming for this project. They ultimately did not fit the theme overall and were scrapped, but now they will live on in sticker form! These four designs are magic wands/staffs that are each themed around one of the four elements.

Here is pin number 5! This kitty cat will be a 2" tall pin to stay in proportion with the other familiars, and features hard enamel with glitter, screen printing, and dark nickel metal.
The update next week will feature a poll to help name the first stretch goal familiar you all chose - the kitty doing a biiiiig stremtch!

I'm still going to do what Midnight Springs is doing in having the first 2 stretch goals available on launch because of their popularity. This means people can add them to their pledges at early bird pricing without having to go back and edit the pledge if they do unlock in the first 48hrs. The rest if they are unlocked in 48hrs will have to be edited in as earlybird options still.
If they aren't reached within 48hrs oh well, I won't be asking people to make up for the difference. Just consider it an incentive :) Outside earlybird time all unlocks will be added as normal price when reached.
The reason she and I won't be doing generic listings like "1 earlybird pin" is because I'm pricing some spiders differently and also it helps with counts so that speeds up the process. I can just order as soon as I get the money instead of after most surveys are filled.
I'm working on different moth options to put in a poll, too. That will be next update in a few days and I'll just go with the winner. Sorry I don't update more often I work fulltime as a cook.
Also Elena (Midnight Springs) gave me some liquid shakers to put spiders on (drink shapes) so those will be available as add-ons.
Next update with moth poll will be once I get those shaker transfers in (will post pics)!
That was the last poll about reveal order, since Mummy is now the de facto next reveal (on May 1st).
Without further ado, here is my Gorgon interpretation:
If you guessed she was the one that is the most expensive to produce and the freebie for 5+ pin backers - you were correct!
She has a whopping 13 print colors. Pearl glitter will be present in her bows, all of her hair/snakes, and the inner/top portion of her blouse. She will be 45mm tall, like the majority she has black nickel plating, and all of the dark grey you see will actually be black enamel. There aren't really recessed portions in this design. Her hair is a 5-color gradient!
I'm really happy with how she turned out, though I can't imagine ever trying to brush hair like this (except her bangs I guess). I liked the idea of blending the snakes into "real" hair and just went for it. You also might notice she doesn't have visible ears like all of the others - that was on purpose. 🐍🩷
I didn't name her Medusa because - with the exception of (femme)Baphomet and Rin - they're all species/lore/class-generic names rather than based on specific individuals. Medusa is a Gorgon (and one of my pet snakes lol) but not vice versa! Gorgons as a species are also immortal.
