Project Update: "The dishes are done, maaaaaaaan."
AHOY!
Let me start by saying we are truly grateful for all the support you have shown for Days of Future Fairhaven. Thanks to everybody who backed the project, posted about it on social media, and even just reached out with words of encouragement. Days of Future Fairhaven is happening because you had faith in this project and showed up for us; now we can’t wait to deliver it to you.
So what’s next?
I am setting up the Pledge Manager later today (or as soon as Backerkit allows it) after I go out for a victory cone (there will be sprinkles!). I will also be reaching out to the Backers who pledged at the Fairhaven Small Business Owner tier to get them sorted.
Writing/Editing - Geo is taking one last pass on the story edit before the piece goes to Meghan for editing. If we need to make any adjustments, we can do so easily. I’ll add the Fairhaven Small Business Owners sections, and then it’ll be off to final layout.
Art/Graphic Design - We’re at about 70% with the art and graphic design. I ordered more, and I am just waiting for it to arrive. Once the layout is entirely in place, I’ll be able to determine if I need to order more or if I need to design anything further.
Layout - The book is currently 80 pages all-in and has been pre-laid out. As I receive the edited text and art assets, I have the spots ready for them. After that, it’ll be a matter of tightening, tweaking, and shifting things around a bit if more art is needed.
The goal remains to have the PDF ready by the end of August and physical copies on the way in September. I’ll provide a printing and shipping update in August once I have the PDF ready for delivery.
