Go to: https://www.backerkit.com/c/users#pledges and follow these steps - 1. Click "view pledge" 2. Scroll down and you should see an "edit your pledge" button. 3. Once you've added whatever additional amount you'd like, you'll have those funds available in the pledge manager after the campaign. Please note that the add-on (such as Digital Adventure Pack) will not automatically be added to your cart, but you'll be able to choose it in the pledge manager when you fill out your survey.
Your shipping cost will be added into your backer survey and charged at that time.
Probably. If you didn't see your country listed on the campaign page, don't worry. Just message us and we'll check to see if we are shipping there and will get you an estimated cost.
All shipping and VAT costs will be collected AFTER this campaign when surveys are sent out after the campaign. On our campaign page we estimated the postage shipping cost to a number of countries. VAT will also be charged on the Backerkit Pledge Manager system for EU and UK backers. At this time we cannot estimate the VAT cost as the charges vary from country to country and are based on the price of the order plus the actual shipping costs (typically between 17-27% of reward cost and shipping cost total).
Your pledge date and time is recorded by the Backerkit system. We will include the digital adventure It's Always ORANGE in Philadelphia to all pledges over $15 and automatically load that item into your cart when you get your backer survey.
At this point the pack includes these 15 adventures: Orange is the new Orange, Save vs. Death, Awesome Sauce, Kobolds Ate My Baby Learn to Play, WE IZ KOBOLDZ, How to kill Kobolds, Kobold Fried Chicken, The Big Bar Near the Village of Two, Star Kobolds, Warlock's Apprentice, A Game of Torgs, Torgapolooza, Death to Chris & Dan, Business Kobolds, and Wizard of Frogs.
In the past we have crowdfunded through Kickstarter, however we have been working with Backerkit just as long. We were one of Backerkit's first customers and have really enjoyed working with their team from the pledge management side of things. In fact, the 2013 Kobolds Ate My Baby! In Colour book thanks Backerkit in the book! This project seemed like the right one to give Backerkit crowdfunding a try.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
