PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: That's it, that's the whole thing!
Folks we did it! All packages are now finished and en route. I just put the last 8 hardcovers in the mail yesterday!
With exception to 4 people who have not completed their surveys. I have sent you an email if this is you and you still haven't received anything yet, check your spam, check your promotions tab... Better yet, log into BackerKit and check your account surveys area and click the big blue button that says "Fill out your survey". I'd love to get these out to you folks before the holidays and finish out the project!
To those of you who have received, I hope you enjoy it! Some of you have left me such kind notes about what you thought of the story, left some really sweet reviews, and got me seriously considering penning up a sequel of some sort. If that happens, I'll be sure to let everyone know via my art newsletter as well as through BackerKit Launch. If you're so inclined, you can leave a review at: Amazon and GoodReads.
Of additional note: Through this weekend (12/2 is the last day) if you want to order another copy, perhaps for a friend or family member, if you order directly through IngramSpark, I get to keep more of the money as IS is waiving a certain fee for this weekend. You can grab the paperback here, and the hardcover here if you want to do that. Other BackerKit bits will roll out to my shop over the following weeks including print extras and bookmarks (those are available now) if you missed out and wanted to grab any of those.
My next project launching in a couple of months is a robotics, Asimov-inspired pin set called Positronic Visions. You can check it out using the link there, but I'll be sending emails through BackerKit's Launch system soon so you'll get some stuff through there if you're still subscribed as well (I'll try to be as least annoying as possible about it). I think that project is going to be super limited edition so make sure you hop on as soon as you can if you want those designs!
Thank you so much for all of your support and I really, genuinely hope you enjoy my silly robot story.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Hardcovers are FINALLY here!
[KAZOO NOISES] The hardcovers are FINALLY HERE and you folks were right - the spines DID align in the bulk order, much to my relief.
Many of you may have already gotten a notification that your order has shipped. I worked hard this morning to get through the biggest bulk of the orders that I could!
Unfortunately, I seem to have under-ordered the booty bot butt bonus print, so I had to stop with just a few people left on the list. No worries though - I ordered a bunch more and they'll be here very quickly.
As a reminder, unlike the characters in the book, I am human, and I am packing all of these alone, so if I mess up somewhere and forget something, please reach out to me and let me know and I'll fix it the best I can. But pretty please - check all through your packaging before reaching out to me. I packed metal bookmarks behind cardboard for the paperbacks so they didn't damage the paperbacks, so just make sure you go through everything I sent.
Excited to almost have this fully fulfilled and out to all you fine folks!
Quick reminder: I'm packing with the books QR codes for where you can go to leave a review if you have a minute, but I'm also including that here: Amazon and GoodReads. (Don't mind that first 1 star saying it was written by AI; as you know, I am staunchly anti-AI and that review was a childish retaliation review because I exposed an AI grift on my blog... ;) Just me and my regular brand of drama)
Thank you everyone! I hope you enjoy!! We're almost at the finish line and best yet - you've almost all got your books!
PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: They're shipping...
You might have already gotten an email from PirateShip to let you know if you ordered a paperback, I've shipped the vast majority of them!
I'll be doing the rest in batches since there's still 10 surveys floating out in the wind and 3 people who had failed cards, so pretty please if this is you, please fix your card or finish your survey (or both) so I can include you in the next batch of shipments. :)
The hardcover proof is supposed to be here tomorrow, so I'm really hoping I can get that bulk order in for those as well very, very shortly and start shipping those too.
If you get your package and I've messed something up, pretty please just send me a message and I'll fix it the best I can. Honestly the last couple of days have just been a mess and I was second and triple guessing myself all over the place getting these packed. It's just me so there's bound to be a mistake somewhere, I'm sure. Most things were, by design, meant to be fixed/replaced with an envelope and a stamp, so if something is screwy, let me know.
I'm really hoping you folks enjoy the book! Don't hesitate to tell me your thoughts or ask questions or anything here or in email or on social, I love talking about my work with others. ❤️

Project Update: The Warm Machine Hardcover Backers: I need your input!
Hey folks...
Paperbacks are absolutely unaffected by this, they came out perfect.
So I just got the hardcover proof in and ugh, look how off the spine is.
I have checked and checked and rechecked and this is not due to any design/formatting issue I can resolve. This is just this printer's natural degree of allowable "variance". It is possible that in my bulk order this will not be the case, but I can't know for sure.
However, when I ordered through KDP a while back, the cover wrap was spot on:
The problem with using KDP (Printer #2) is the interior print quality is not the greatest. You can really see it on the supplemental illustrations I put in the book and the bonus story.
I know what matters is the interior and not so much the cover, but I don't want this book to be ugly on your bookshelf! Since these books are going to YOU folks, I'm hoping you can help me decide what to do about the hardcovers here. I haven't placed the bulk order yet for them, so based on how you folks decide here is what I'll end up doing.
Do I:
Option 1: Cross my fingers and hope that the spines align more closely in the bulk order, opting for the better interior printing of the two?
Option 2: Go with the lesser quality interior printing knowing that the cover will be aligned fine?
Poll is open here. Please vote (or let me know in the comments if you have any other ideas).
