Project Update: WE MADE IT!
OH MY GOSH THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE! WE MADE IT!
So... what happens next?
First, BackerKit will attempt to collect your pledges. IF YOU ARE IN THE USA, THIS MAY FAIL. US-based banks are notorious for thinking that any American attempting to buy things from The Foreign Internet has automatically had their card stolen or cloned, so if this happens to you, DON'T PANIC! Simply log into BackerKit and re-enter your card information, and it'll work second time around.
After that... We wait a while. It will take a couple of weeks for BackerKit to finish collecting all the pledges, and then once that's done I can get your surveys out to you. Not only will surveys include your shipping fees, but also a last opportunity to alter your pledge or add more items to it.
Notably, pledges which fail at this stage and are not corrected may cause us to fall below the £4,000 threshold for digital edges, so please ensure that your pledge is processed (by re-entering your card information) if it fails the first time.
In the meantime, I will be ordering the one-off print run from my chosen offset printer here in the UK, and ensuring that all files are in order. Once BackerKit send me over the collected funds, I can pay the printer and set things in motion with them.
Once surveys are locked, I will also send ebooks to anyone whose pledge / addons included them so that you can start reading right away!
Then, once the books arrive with me, I will begin shipping all physical items!
