SAILOR MOON meets RANMA 1/2 with the dad jokes of POWER RANGERS. A fun magical girls gender bender! Issue #5 takes place right AFTER THE FIRST VOLUME (you can read it on Amazon)!

Issue #5 of Jackie and the Magical Guys is short and sweet (20 pages of good fun, character antics--and at least 10 bonus pages (behind-the-scenes, activities, etc. included as well), and it takes place after the events of Volume One. It's not so much plot-related to the main story.
It dives into the beginning chaos with Reid, the ocean-themed magical guy with a serious temper, who takes center stage. Reid is angry, confused, and absolutely not interested in teaming up with the mysterious girl from the future, Jackie, who’s apparently here to stop the apocalypse. Too bad the biggest monster yet is about to wipe out everything, and Reid might be the only one strong enough to stop it...if he can stop snapping at his new time-traveling teammate and stop obsessively focusing on high school swim practice. Can they finally get back to saving the world? Probably not. But we’re about to find out what Jackie has been up to. Support the campaign and get in on the beach shenanigans.

“Okay, the amount of times I facepalmed myself while reading this was unfathomable. But you did make me laugh out loud. This is a very silly, funny, very fun book. It's very hard to make me laugh, especially in literature, but you manage to do it several times.”

"There are many graphic novels about heroines sent to the past, but Linsamouth's choice to depict a heroine sent to the past by her brilliant mother—who charges her to use super serum to transform cute boys into powerhouse girls, all to save the future with minimal loss of life—is both inventive and entertaining."
