Malvolio: a new, luxury gated district on Prospero's Dream, its people slowly being corrupted by power of The Hippocrene... drink and you shall have what you most desire—but at what cost?
Drink From The Hippocrene is a new 3rd party supplement for Mothership RPG, set on Prospero's Dream and written by Andrew C. Manson, with artwork by Malachi Ward, design and layout from Lone Archivist and editing by Chris Airiau.
The zine is proudly part of Mothership Month 2025, and all content is made by humans—no A.I.

There’s a new gated zone on the Dream. The Malvolio District is a superficially dazzling S-Class enclave: rich tourists revel in luxury, before stepping out on 'guided safaris' through the Dream’s most insalubrious quarters—for thrills, adventure and... worse.
Yet behind this gilded facade lies a district half-empty: rotting warehouses are cordoned off and hidden from view, marked for redevelopments that might never happen. Malvolio is full of grand designs, but already buckling under the weight of its own exorbitant upkeep.
And something vile and otherworldly festers and grows here. A graffitied chalice marked upon service tunnels; strange choral chants murmur through venting; hotel staff overhear guests whispering of The Hippocrene—a mythical liquid said to grant the drinker their ultimate desires.
The setting:
🪙 A New S-Class Zone to Explore, offering high-end Shore Leave benefits from within Prospero's Dream. Security is tight, but there's ways and means for the enterprising crew to gain access.
👁️ A cast of outlandish and self-involved NPCs to work for, with or against. (Which of them, if any, has drunk from The Hippocrene?)
🕋 Four expanded locations—The King's Theatre, F_cking Casual fashion boutique, Deth's Disco nightclub, and the ultra-exclusive brothel known only as Bortheen's, all feature as detailed areas.
Each location in Malvolio has a module that can be played standalone or as part of a wider conspiracy:
Fashion Forward—Locate missing inhabitants from the Dream, last seen going to work in Aros Mains' clothing sweatshop.
The New Sound—Help a group of disenfranchised ravers locate the 4 cassettes of the Haunted Boom Box, so they can create 'The New Sound.'
Bortheen's Bordello—A tower defence of an exclusive brothel hidden in Malvolio's warehouse wasteland, under siege from biker gang The Roiling Boils.
Prospero's Players—There's potentially something far more sinister afoot at the local theatre company than just some missing ticket money...
All content is work in progress and subject to change!
The Hippocrene
"Ah the glorious, glorious Hippocrene! She appears both translucent and of a shimmering iridescent white, simultaneously. She pours easily into a chosen mouth, but never spills, and never diminishes; her cup is always full. I ask that my cup now always be full also. Oh please, dear Seer—allow me to be chosen! I am your Acolyte! Allow me to drink! Thirst becomes plenty! Thirst becomes plenty!"—cassette recording from bloodied dictaphone found at Warehouse 14, Malvolio. Later determined to have been a hoax.
Binding everything together is the conspiracy of the Hippocrene:
A nameless cult that begins as a mere whisper, but may grow to consume all of Malvolio.
Unearthly corrupting powers that grant the ultimate desires of the drinker, but at a terrible cost.
Seers and Acolytes: the power of the Hippocrene must be passed voluntarily from a Seer to an Acolyte, an irreversible blessing from hell.
Who knows what might happen if the Hippocrene spills forth from Malvolio into the wider Prospero's Dream station?
We're keeping things simple with our pledge levels for Hippocrene, but in addition to the standard PDF and Print tiers there's a couple of new additions in our physical bundles:
Sticker bundle - features four new vinyl stickers designed by Lone Archivist, focusing on key locations in the Malvolio District.
Rimwise Wanderer is a new, 16 page player-facing zine, with '100 Things To Do On Prospero's Dream Before You Die.'
The Everything tier also contains our other titles: The Dose Makes The Poison, a 24 page module inspired by the Bioshock franchise and Timed Release pamphlet module for fans of Squid Game, The Crystal Maze and In Time. Why not take advantage of consolidated shipping and get everything And Tomorrow Games has to offer?
£17K - Free bonus PDF pamphlet module for all orders!
£19K - The same module added in print to all physical orders!
We've added in a new stretch goal—a bonus pamphlet module written by DG Chapman (The Haunting of Ypsilon 14 Another Bug Hunt, Breath Easy (part of MM25)).
The pamphlet is designed to be a way to get your crew inside the exclusive, gated zone of Malvolio for the first time—a place that normal denizens of the Dream would have no business frequenting.
Here's the synopsis:
The Robinson Affair
Hotel Mi Casa is among the most exclusive and expensive accommodation available to visitors on Prospero’s Dream, frequented by the high rollers and kingpins of rimspace’s criminal underworld. Each new guest that passes through its doors brings with them a wealth of rumour and intrigue to rival their fiduciary prowess.
A wealthy patron has approached you with a proposition. Disguised as hotel staff, you will infiltrate the Swan in order to steal one of the most valuable treasures ever to pass through its doors, the Robinson Diamond. The fabled jewel is confirmed to be in situ at the hotel, in the possession of one of its current guests.
Chris Airiau - Editor Chris has published and written for over 20 Mothership RPG publications, and worked on more than 10 other Panic Engine projects, such as Cloud Empress, Milk Bar, and his own 5 Million Worlds RPG. He also hosts The 5MW Ansible Uplink, a sci-fi module review podcast. Editing credits include: Straight Arrows, Johnson Squared, The Hands That Feed.
Lone Archivist - Layout, Graphic Design Lone Archivist is a game and graphic designer based out of Southern California. His work includes writing and design for a handful of third-party Mothership modules including Primeval, What We Give To Alien Gods, In Other Waters: Tidebreak, and Hull Breach. When not working on games or design he can be found crate-digging for a new jazz record or adding yet another book to the TBR list.
Andrew C. Manson - Words, the Other Bits Drink From The Hippocrene is Andrew's second Mothership module proper and 2nd crowdfunding campaign, the first being The Dose Makes The Poison for Mothership Month 2024, a project that finished with exactly 1000 backers. He's going to take all his learnings from this previous campaign and apply them here, while living in the Scottish Highlands.
Malachi Ward - Illustrations Malachi Ward draws cartoons for Green Street, Netflix and Titmouse. He is also the cartoonist behind Black Hammer: The End, written by Jeff Lemire, and the co-creator of the graphic novels Ancestor and Expansion with Matt Sheean. His illustration work includes drawings for The New Yorker, Wired, Craft Records, Secretly Canadian, SpectreVision, New Beverly Cinema, and The New York Times.
We've paired up with another UK Mothership Month creator, Waco Matrixo for a cross-collab - a feature in Backerkit meaning if you back both projects you get access to exclusive rewards.
Waco has a collection of top-class Mothership modules to his name already having written Decagone, Gas! Gas! Gas! and most recently Cryo-Siq, and we've been having a blast throwing around ideas for cryptid hunting on Prospero's Dream. The plan is for a bonus module that will be a fun standalone one-shot that will provide hooks that help link the two zines together.
A vent scrubber reports eerie noises, strange graffiti on the walls of the Malvolio District - could this be a new cryptid on Prospero's Dream?
This year Mothership Month is being fulfilled entirely by the team at Tuesday Knight Games, meaning those that back multiple projects will only get charged for shipping once. For more info on that see below.
This is our second Mothership project. The first, The Dose Makes The Poison, was part of Mothership Month '24 and finished crowdfunding with 1000 backers.
While there's always risks involved in crowdfunding a project in advance of manufacture, much was learned during last year's campaign and that knowledge will be applied to this project to keep things running smoothly.
We are confident we'll be handing a high quality product over to the TKG crew for final fulfilment.
This year, we're trying something different. Nearly every Mothership Month project is part of a shared shipping initiative. That means:
One pledge manager. When Mothership Month ends, you’ll receive one combined pledge manager survey for all participating projects — our “mega pledge manager.” That means just one survey and one shipping payment for multiple projects.
One shipping charge. Because these projects will ship together, you’ll only pay shipping once, saving you money.
One fulfillment timeline. All participating campaigns are scheduled to ship at the same time, ensuring your rewards arrive together.
Two exceptions. Only two creators (Bombs Bursting in Air and Roach Motel) have opted out of this group fulfillment plan; their shipping will be handled separately. Why did they opt out? These two projects are very close to being ready to fulfill, and it didn't make sense to their teams to wait.
Estimated Shipping
Below is a table of estimated shipping prices based on weight. You can see at the bottom what the estimated weights are for different items. Prospero's Dream should be around the same weight (maybe slightly lighter) than the Mothership Core Set. Additionally, if you order several items you'll incur a small charge for additional items, which varies based on your country.
This does not include any applicable VAT or taxes. A reminder that these shipping prices are an estimate and its possible they will change based on global conditions beyond our control.
When will these projects ship? Our collective goal is to have all Mothership Month 2025 projects fulfilled before Mothership Month 2026 begins. Some projects are further along than others, so their timeline for digital rewards will vary. But we have roughly a year to fulfill before Mothership Month 2026, which gives everyone enough time to finish up and get their products to our warehouse.
What is Mothership Month?
Every year, Tuesday Knight Games and dozens of third-party creators launch new Mothership projects around a shared theme. This year’s theme (“The Dream Returns”) centers on Prospero’s Dream, the infamous X-Class back-world, black market space station. Each project ties back to the Dream in some way. Not only that, but we'll be opening up Prospero's Dream as a shared setting for all third-party creators going forward.
Get your exclusive Supply Pod!
This year we're changing up the Supply Pods. Now there is just ONE BIG SUPPLY POD. It's unlocked once all projects fund and it improves as we hit more group achievements. How do you get the Supply Pod? Back 5 or more projects at the physical level and get access to all the cool goodies.
