For years, I've been inspired by Jacqueline Carey's classic romantasy book series, Kushiel's Legacy, to explore her intriguing world of angels, courtesans, & masquerades for my illustration project, Kushiel Concepts.  This project began with my painting of a fan cover for the first book in the series - Kushiel's Dart.  This series has meant a lot to me as an artist, inspiring me towards becoming a professional illustrator with a passion for elegant mature fantasy.

For the past few years since the publication of Cassiel's Servant, I've been working on my own version of this book's cover between the seams of other projects.  It's been a labor of love and now I can finally share it with all of you just in time for the book series' 25th anniversary!

Should this project reach $3k, we'll be unlocking the winning sticker design from this set of 3!

The chosen design will be finalized and offered as a free sticker for Backers of this campaign added to physical pledges for free or to those without physical pledges who do not mind paying shipping.  It will not be available for free in the post-campaign late pledge shop.

This crowdfunding project is meant to fund a series of 100 Limited Edition gold foil accented prints of a grayscale and gold 25th anniversary edition of my fan cover for Cassiel's Servant.

If this campaign succeeds, any prints out of the series of 100 which are not claimed via this campaign will be listed for sale afterwards via my Patreon Secret Shop at the list price of $45 ($10 more than pledging through this campaign).

However, I don't expect there to be too many prints leftover at the end of this campaign due to the small print run!

I created this painting using Procreate on the iPad and Photoshop with over 100+ hours of blood, sweat, and tears poured into its research and painting process, which involves many paint strokes made in a digital canvas.

No AI was used in any part of this process!

I've created an assortment of Kushiel's Legacy themed Add-Ons so you can complete your collection of Kushiel art I've created.  Here's a preview of the offerings in my Add-On shop, including the debut of my new Cassiel's Servant themed stickers.

Normally, I cannot offer signed open edition prints outside of in-person events and limited editions, but as a special treat for this campaign, I will be signing all open edition prints ordered via this campaign's Add-On shop.

Shipping will be charged separately after the campaign via Backerkit's Pledge Manager.

Packaging
Prints will be bagged and backed in acid-free packaging, layered with corrugated board affixed to an oversized corrugated board to protect the corners, then shipped in a rigid mailer for maximum protection.  Other non-print items are also sent in rigid mailers. 

International Customers
I will be utilizing USPS for shipment.  Due to USPS service areas as well as shipping restrictions on packaging materials, I cannot ship to Russia, Ukraine, Germany, or France.

Please note that I cannot issue exchanges or refunds due to packages being abandoned, refused, confiscated, left with unpaid customs fees, or left in customs offices.  I will do my best to make sure all necessary information is provided for smooth shipment.  I cannot provide tracking for international packages.  I also cannot send packages marked as "Gift", as they are commercial packages.  Backers will be responsible for all customs fees.

I have experience delivering 5 successful past crowdfunding projects for pin sets and a coloring book across Kickstarter & Backerkit and am already set up for fulfillment.  The printing company has already sent me a hard copy proof and is ready to put this series into production as soon as the funds become available! 

I expect these prints to ship 1-2 months after the campaign, but unexpected delays may occur, which I will be sure to communicate in the Backerkit updates.

If I do not hear back from a Backer after 3 months past the end of the campaign after attempting to contact unresponsive Backers via provided emails for proper payment & shipping information, these Backer pledges will be considered a donation towards my artist endeavors and no refunds will be given after this 3 month period.
