Project Update: Books arrived!
Greetings!
Way faster than was promised, but the books arrived! Two days ago in fact actually, but I was extremely busy due to uni and as I had today, Friday, free, I wanted to dedicate the day to them fully.
Not sure what to say - they are amazing. I'm super happy. The binding is intact and has black thread too now, so it's completely invisible on the pitch black pages. Black inside and outside, it's exactly what I always wanted it to be.
Once again drowning in 500kg of books.
I already wrote my printer about them and that I got the order, but he's currently sick with a fever so we will postpone a call until next week. Not much serious stuff to talk about anyway, just me giving some last input, and asking for the bill.
Ngl, I'd really love to work with him again if I ever self-publish a book again in near or distant future. His company's support from day 1 on was amazing, and I'm really glad that the production error from September was handled well and with ease. Even though I was a bit frustrated at times, I never felt helpless.
But before I start rambling -
Love how the lighting makes the cover look completely black.
The prints are in the big brown package on the left, btw.
I'm now going to check every single book by hand for quality, and sign it if it's in good quality.
At the time I am writing this, I checked and signed 91 books of the 566 I was sent. Took me some time to find a flow for this, but tomorrow I should be faster, and hopefully all books will be signed by the end of the weekend.
Once that is done shipping will start. I probably won't make a new update immediately once shipping starts, but some time later when the first orders have already been sent.
Thanks for sticking around! I'm super excited right now.
