PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Update-Nothing exciting really, but hello!
Hello!
I just wanted to check in with you all and let you know, depite it being Halloween, we absolutely haven 't ghosted you!
:^D
...all right, to business.
Tarot Deck is in production. Everything is going fine, but production is always a slow process.
And unfortunately, as most of you effected probably know, our co-creator had a mistake from her manu for the pins and is resolving that. However, because we are shipping together, this hold us up as well.
Since this has already been a long wait, we are going to sort through orders and find the few that aren't effected by the above, but that's like...5 of you.
Thank you guys again for you exquisite patience with this.

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Edits done!
Quickly, a shipping update!
All pins are backed! We're waiting for our pin partner to be ready to send those off.
As discussed before, when we pulled up the art it didn't match our manufacturers guidelines, so we had to reformat each card. And in the process we realized the art quality could be better. So we started cleaning up each card. That is done, and we will be ordering the deck ASAP, however this is our first time ordering a large order of paper products from a manufacturer, so while that shouldn't take LONG i don't have an estimate.
And with the deck fully touched up, I wanted to share the process!
If you have any artistic projects you work on (Or anything I imagine that takes a lot of detail and learning) you know the danger of "re-doing" a project. It's a good way to get caught forever looping, recreating the same thing over and over every time you get "better" and often losing something special in overworking it. So we set ourselves some limits.

-Most changes were for clarity, whether in the art, the content, or the message of the card. For example, in the three of tides, the color choices make the forms unclear. The back was changed because we wanted a back that didn't reveal whether a card was upside down or not before it was turned over. Things like that.
-No re-dos. Besides one card that was TOO unclear and had gotten multiple comments of confusion, every card is the same drawing. Just edited.
-Not messing with too many layers. There wasn't a hard limit on how many layers we could play with, especially because art was saved in different ways. But if I started getting into building it up from scratch again, I stepped back and reassessed what I didn't feel like was working, and what was best to change.
-What didn't print right. Computer to print is different, and a lot of subtle shifts in color and shading were made so art prints as accurately and enjoyably as possible.
Here's some examples, including those mentioned above!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: Pics and more!
Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I had an update I didn't realize hadn't posted when I was coming to apologize for THIS one being late and....opps. Thankfully that's always the most boring update, after the end of the campaign but before anything is made so....you didn't miss a lot.
AND THIS ONE HAS PICTURES NOW :D
Pins are here! They are gorgeous, these pics don't even remotely capture them. The Ombres are beautiful, and I didn't realize they're all just a LITTLE different because of how it blends, which is so cool! Everyone's in unique!
The decks are going to be a little while longer, and sadly to the folks who have both, we're going to need to hold your packages till they're done. They're going fine, they're just a bit more of a project than we estimated. Unfortunately, a lot of the original files are no longer suitable for the new printer, so we have to go through them individually and resize and adjust things. It's not a BIG deal, but with 72 cards it's time consuming.
And I broke my arm in the middle of our busy season, so art has been.....a bit of a struggle. So it's moving! Just a little slower than we'd like.
After we get back from vending at San Diego Pride next weekend, we will be working out a packing date with our partner and getting these beauties to you!
FINALLY! On to the pics!

PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: AND we're done!
Sorry for the late update, both Sarah and I thought the other had posted it!
We are done, and we funded ALL four pins AND the Tarot deck. While we didn't quite make it to the booklet, we ARE still waiting to hear back from some vendors and will jump on it if we see something cheaper. But we're also starting to get into the territory of "If it's too cheap.....why?"
From here on out, we will be mostly working quietly behind the scenes. Soon you should have your surveys, and I'm working on getting the pin details ironed out with our manu and polishing up the tarot cards.
Very excited!!
