Originally published in 2012, Children of the Dragon was my debut novel. It feels fitting that it's my first crowdfunding project. After 13 years, it's time to revisit this project and give it the beautiful makeover that it deserves. In this campaign, you can help me fund new gorgeous cover art (made by a human), new interior artwork and maps, and more for this special re-release edition.
Kinrou was orphaned at a young age and taken in by the Shadowhawk Bandits, Telvan's most notorious bandit gang. For 22 years, that was all he knew, all he cared to know. Then, one day, Jiken--his adoptive brother and best friend--told him that one of the Dragon Warriors had died. Jiken hatched a plan to break into the palace and steal the empress's crown. Even though Jiken's plans rarely go as planned, Kinrou went along with it.
Faced with the prospect of execution for their attempted crime, Kinrou agrees to work with the Dragon Warriors, a decision that would take him to places he never could have imagined.
Melissa Stone is from Saskatchewan, Canada and has lived there most of her life. She lives there with her husband and two kids. Although a vocal cat person, she has a dog in adition to her two cats and a pair of bearded dragons. She volunteers as a foster house with the local humane society. Currently, she works as a freelance proofreader.

The plan for the time being is to dropship items to backers. While that means I will, in all likelihood, be unable to personally sign books, there is a backup plan in place in the form of signed bookplates.
My goal is to have all items made and shipped by Q3 2026.
