Project Update: All Rewards Have Been Filled PLUS Our Latest Crowdfunding Campaigns

Dear backers,

Thank you so much for making Sherlock Holmes: Crimes for Christmas a huge success on BackerKit. You should have received your eBook copies of your rewards. Your print copies have been ordered, and it looks like all of them will arrive before December 1st.

If it gets close to December 1st and you haven't received your print reward, please send me a message and I'll track your order.

I also wanted to let you know about our other Kickstarter campaigns.

Sherlock Holmes: A Year of Mystery 1887 & 1888

Every volume in this anthology series details a year in the life of Sherlock Holmes. Each month gets its own story!

With the arrival of 1887, Sherlock Holmes's reputation had begun to grow.  Now, in the year of the classic tales "The Reigate Squires" and "The Five Orange Pips", Holmes is becoming ever more sure of himself –– a trend that will continue as we make our way through his literary chronology.

1888 was a busy year for Holmes and Watson.  If Dr. Watson is to be believed, The Sign of Four, “A Scandal in Bohemia,” and “The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor” all took place in this year (I would also argue that The Valley of Fear is set in the same year - ed.).  As if all that weren’t enough, 1888 is remembered (albeit infamously) as the year that Jack the Ripper unleashed an autumn of terror on the citizens of London.  While there are no Holmes vs. the Ripper stories in this volume, the authors of the later stories have all alluded to the atmosphere of terror permeating Holmes’s London at that time.

The game is afoot! Back the project by CLICKING HERE!

The Complete Works of EDWARD BRYANT Volumes One & Two

On the Road to Cinnabar and Dark Angels

Two-time Nebula Award winner EDWARD BRYANT is one of the most celebrated writers and critics in science-fiction and horror.  These first two volumes of the complete retrospective of his works include a number of his influential pieces, autobiographical essays, contributions from fellow authors including Connie Willis, Steve Rasnic Tem, Cynthia Felice and others–––as well as an entire section dedicated to his lifelong friendship with HARLAN ELLISON in volume one, and a rare BATMAN novelette in volume two*, co-written with DAN SIMMONS!

Back these classic sci-fi tales by CLICKING HERE!

Also, our friends at MX Publishing has a Sherlock Holmes Kickstarter project you should check out.

The Collected Papers of Sherlock Holmes Volume 7

The Noted Florilegium of Sherlockian Adventures Returns with a New Volume - foreword by Nicholas Meyer.

Volume VII – Annals (19 Holmes Adventures, 3 Scripts, and a Poem)

Marcum could be today’s greatest Sherlockian writer . . . .”

Project Update: Stretch Goal Met! So, Let's Add Stretch Goal #2

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update as we approach the end of the campaign.  The big news is that we have met our stretch goal!!! That means the book Sherlock Holmes: Crimes for Christmas will include artistic chapter headers and some internal artwork.  The book looks amazing with the additional pieces and will be perfect for the yuletide season. If you know of other Sherlockians, this book will make a great holiday gift!

To keep the momentum going through the end of the campaign, we've added a second stretch goal.

Stretch Goal #2 - If the campaign reaches $5,000 in pledges, all backers will receive an eBook copy of the lost mystery classic, The Astounding Crime on Torrington Road, written by the greatest actor to play Holmes on stage, William Gillette.

This book had been out of print for nearly 100 years, but Belanger Books in association with the Friends of Gillette Castle created an all new edition of the book. This edition includes forewords by Derrick Belanger, BSI and Paul Schiller who is sometimes called Mr. Gillette Castle for his extensive knowledge of the castle and of William Gillette, himself. The book also includes rare photographs from the Gillette Castle archive.

Help us reach our funding goal and get a digital copy of this incredible mystery which I consider one of the all-time greatest noir books, and in the top 100 books of the 20th century.

Thank you,

Derrick Belanger
