The Witches Are Back : Welcome to Round 2

⋆.˚⟡ ࣪ ˖ CALL YOUR CORNERS! ⋆.˚⟡ ࣪ ˖

Rebuilding a shattered world was already a nightmare. Adding an ancient god’s psychotic family feud to their coven group chat feels entirely unnecessary.

Dig, if you will, these tropes.

Five thousand years ago, he was buried. Now, the Scion of War is awake—and he’s thirsty for blood.

Six months after avoiding the Harvest’s world-altering Reaping, witches Remy and Vincent are still hunting for missing legends and loved ones. What they find instead across the haunting deserts of New Mexico is a nightmare: Lucio Sa’stoh, an ancient entity with god-like power, has broken free from his tomb with a singular, bloodthirsty purpose: to slaughter his own siblings.

To stop the tyrant from tearing the world apart, Remy and Vincent must form an uneasy alliance with the enigmatic but powerful Sam and Lilith. In a realm drenched in desert sun, folklore and fading magic, stopping the wrath of a god might cost them everything they have left.

Once Upon a Time, An Introvert Wrote a Story to Avoid People

When I moved from the Dirty South to the Wicked Wild West in 2019, I had already started putting together the idea for a story surrounding a rag-tag group of sassy witches. Then, I got to Albuquerque, and true to introvert fashion, I holed up in my apartment and never ventured out into my new city.

November rolled around and back then, we had this groovy thing called National Novel Writing Month. I decided to commit to my new story and characters--a part of my life I'd missed wildly since leaving Star Cross'd Destiny years prior--and vow to write 50,000 words in a month. I started at bars, coffee shops, and took the train, and then, started venturing out by car to ghost towns all across New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas. By March, I had a completed book, right as the world was falling into the hands of a pandemic.

Instead of editing the first book, I immediately started writing the second. Incredible new characters caused a ruckus in my head, new magic was born, and new landscapes, lore, and legends were explored.

Just like its predecessor, Seven Plagues of Sa'stoh won't be just some run-of-the-mill hardcover. It has spot UV treatment on a cover put together by an award-winning designer featuring the book's main sigil. It has a unique interior, complete with specialty content. It even has custom edge printing, to seal the mood. And each copy will come flat-signed by me.

"What is it you believe?"

I believe you're going to absolutely fall in love with these new characters and all over again with the old ones. You're going to vibe with a particular coven, just like you do your Myers Briggs. It'll make you yearn for the wide open road but also make you wonder what's in the dark. And when you finish this book, you're gonna be ready for the next one, and the one after that. I've built a whole witchy world for you and I cannot wait for you to join me!

Rock and roll, my beautiful friends. Let's make art!

Meet Your Creator

What a weirdo.

I'm a rockstar by night, scientist by day, and someone who enjoys running only in dreams. In addition to my work with the Southwest Gothic series, I have written and recorded several varieties of sonic entertainment, including an accompanying soundtrack to the novels. A Desert Southwest native, I do my best writing in the ghost towns of the Borderland between the real and the unreal. Also a witch, the second law of thermodynamics is my magical ethos and I try to live everyday as though it were Halloween. Queer, nonbinary, y'allternative, I like cats, honey mustard, yelling at clouds while drinking scotchy scotch. Might be composed almost entirely of jokes.

Shipping -- PLEASE READ

All shipping fees will be charged separately, AFTER the campaign, during pledge management. The prices below are estimates. Actual shipping prices will be determined after production is finished and we're gearing up to send out the books. Also, if you add-on additional physical copies of the book to your order, your shipping cost may increase.

Estimated shipping costs (for a single book):

  • $10 USA
  • $30 UK
  • $35 Canada
  • $50 Most of Europe (sorry my babies, it's a restriction thing)
  • $40 Australia, NZ

Items will be fulfilled as quickly as possible, with the hope that they'll be in transit by end of February 2027 at the latest.

Some items may ship slower than others due to processing/creation time. This is likely to mainly affect the Coven/Regent Editions.

Any editions featuring multiple books will have higher shipping, especially those going internationally.
