a new series i wanted to start: Soft Talons! this edition is themed after griffons from around the world! birds paired with big cats from each continent! These soft cuddle plushies are 24 inches long and weighted!
as the first official edition of my new series of plushies: the Soft Talons' Griffons! the Soft Talon series will have groups of many types of mythological creatures. rather than just one of each creature, why not have a variety for everyone!
every griffon in the base goals are inspired by the big cats and the birds of prey from each continent! (or feliform/"cat-like" for the hyena one!) as well as the dreamy griffon for a space / astral version!
griffon species currently include:
Golden Eagle / Lion : Europe (traditional) Gyr / Lynx : Europe Saker / Tiger : Asia Bald Eagle / Cougar : North America Harpy / Black Jaguar : South America Hoatzin / Jaguar : South America Kestrel / Cheetah : Africa Bearded Vulture / Hyena : Africa Masked Owl / Thylacine - Australia (no big cats) Snow Owl / Snow Leopard : Antarctica Dreamy : Astral!
for future species past these base ones, a design / combo contest will be held! rules will be detailed further when the time comes!
these plushies are 24 inches long from beak to tail tip! they are weighted with beans and weigh approximately 2.5 pounds! they look slightly smaller than my previous 24 inch long plushies due to the length of the gummy wyrm's and elemental wing's tails surpassing the 24 inch mark, while the griffons conform to the 24 inch length!
Due to the new USA import policies on plush or soft toys, the timeline is still unknown as all shipments are paused. I am still going through with the campaign as I have faith in my manufacturer finding a way around or the policy will be changed again when people get mad.
for the initial goal, once the campaign reaches the "funded" status, will be the first plush design : Golden Eagle Lion Griffon! There will be a change to the design, so the current sample is outdated, but will change based on the turn around below The current sample status (not final):
each subsiquent stretch goal will unlock after each additional $2.5k in funding!
if every base stretch goal is unlocked, the design contest will begin! (it will start slightly before the last goal is reached, and the design will become unlocked as the next goal after the very last planned goal)
Funding stretches are slightly different in this campaign due to re organizing my tight funding in past campaigns!
keychains and stickers of each unlocked griffon species will be available, as well as a sticker sheet of all of them together! more merch may become available as i design them throughout the run time of the campaign!
These are just estimates, costs may change as the campaign ends! these estimates are only for the USA and Canada, as i am only able to offer backerkit based shipping for these countries.
for international backers, there is a "save my spot" pledge to qualify for any freebies offered in this campaign, but the preorders will be made through Etsy. Etsy offers a shipping option that bundles VATS payments with the shipping fee, as well as makes the customs info much easier!
Due to the new policies regarding plush and soft toy imports into the USA, I can not say for certain what the production or shipping timeline will be. I hope policies will change before the production is complete or my manufacturer finds a way through these policies. I am still going through with the campaign as I am positive there will be a way to still receive these plushies, it just may take more time than expected!

i usually make my own plushies by hand (so getting a manufacturer is a new experience!) and they've been my pride and joy of my vending experiences, i love when people are so happy to receive a friend i handmade them! i still make plushies very often, but mostly just crochet! they take a lot of time and effort but it is very rewarding!
i have a passion for creature designing and found i love modeling my designs in zbrush, though they are much different from the art i tend to post, since it is usually easier to make my cutesy stuff! my art style has a wide range from realistic to chibi!

3) Include add-ons Need more plushies, Stickers, or Pins? After you select your pledge level you'll be able to add even more items onto your pledge in the form of add-ons.
4) Check out You're done until the campaign ends and surveys go out. (unless you want to make an edit to your pledge!)
5) Manage your pledge After the campaign you'll receive an email with your survey. This is where you get to pick exactly which plushies, pins, and any other add-ons you want before finalizing your order. Once finalized you can continue to edit your order via Backerkit until orders are locked.
Remember! You won't be charged until the campaign ends. Take advantage of that to claim your early bird rewards!
If you need to lower or cancel your pledge later, you can do so any time before pledges are processed at the end of the campaign and avoid being charged.
