Mythiras is a realm where empires struggle, ancient forces awaken, and the Curse of Sorrow ravages the West. The world is designed to test your resolve, where every decision carries weight, and the line between good and evil is often blurry.
From the steppes of Turqia to the vampire-dominated island of Nhiotzly, whether in cursed forests or crumbling empires, adventurers traverse a world that does not welcome heroes but challenges them. Magic is a double-edged gift. Xenophobia runs deep. The scars of war may be healing, but new conflicts loom over the lands.
Why Mythiras?
Unlike traditional fantasy settings where noble heroes rise to save the world, Mythiras is a land where survival is the ultimate victory. Even the greatest champions must deal with their inner darkness, as well as the grim world around them. This is a world where every victory comes with a cost, where magic is both a gift and a curse, where the lands demand willpower and sacrifice.
Regions of Mythiras
The four regions are defined by the cultures of the nations within: Sethra, Oshera, Assa, and the Dark Sea. Each nation has a different drive, values, technology, and strengths. Mythiras is a rich playground for brave adventurers, or a fancy grave. Brave adventurers will traverse enchanted forests, confront arcane terrors, and uncover long-lost secrets, all while resisting the crushing force of despair.
Sethra, the Western Continent: Once a realm of Elves and Fey, now ruled dominantly by the Auran Empire and Dominara, under the shadow of the Fall and the spreading Curse of Sorrow.
Oshera, the Eastern Continent: A land of empires, Turqia, Meridion, and the Dynasty, shaped by centuries of war, has left its place to a fragile peace that is unraveling under internal strife.
Assa Proximity, the South: Besieged by undead legions in the north and vampires in the east, the Kinship and Concord stand as the last defense against the tide, with the help of the adventurer guilds that wage war upon the undead hordes.
Dark Sea: Various islands of secrets and strangeness. Here, the Arcanocracy hoards arcanotech, Wonduras thrives in alchemy, and Nur’kha pirates plunder indiscriminately while the mysterious Star Concave watches in silence.
Final digital copies of all books will be distributed through DriveThruRPG. However, unfinished early-access versions will be distributed through BackerKit. The bottleneck of the digital version is the art that is yet to come. The PDF version is estimated to be delivered in November-December 2026.
In this run, to minimize the risk and ensure complete and effortless delivery, we'll be using POD fulfillment through DriveThru RPG. The POD costs and shipping will be paid by the individual backer to minimize the number of transactions and payment cuts. Each backer will receive a POD code that can be redeemed through DriveThruRPG, where the backers will pay printing & shipping costs based on their location.
The POD codes are estimated to be delivered in November-December 2026.
