Back during our first crowdfunding campaign for Monumental Consequence (launched on Kickstarter back in 2021), we offered an exclusive stretch goal short-form game for the campaign called This Last Supper.
This improvisational roleplaying game by Tim Hutchings (of Thousand Year Old Vampire fame) is for six-to-fifteen players that explores a renaissance painting from the perspective of the painting's subjects and the architects studying the painting in order to make an architectural change to the building where the painting is hung. The architects must decided which painting subject to remove to make way for the architectural change while the paintings subjects must communicate their rich history and meaning while not drifting too far away from the overall motif of the painting.
After that campaign fulfilled, we locked This Last Supper away in a gilded mahogany chest and buried it in the greenspace between Anspach and Pearce halls here on the campus of Central Michigan University. We had every intention of never releasing this zine version of the game again, but, after much deliberation, it seemed a shame to do that, especially with Tim coming on to be series editor for the new Art and System game series. So we dug the zine back up and added it to this campaign as an add-on. Many of you have noticed the zine in the add-ons list; for those that haven't, well here's your heads up to add it to your pledge if you want a physical copy of this awesome yet esoteric Tim Hutchings game.
The only copy of This Last Supper we have in the office. Feeling its age a little, like a Renaissance painting...hmm...
