Project Update: 3rd Set of Sample Pins are in!
Hello Everyone!
I wanted to share some pictures of the 3rd set of sample pins that came in! The 1st and 2nd sets came in prior to the project launch. This time around I was testing different gloss options.
I have decided to go with a spot gloss style, full gloss or no gloss on select pins based on colors/patterns/etc. When looking at the photos you can see that the gloss really helps out dark, deep colors (like black) look more readable. It also helps whites look more consistent in printing. However on medium tone colors it adds a sort of shine that I feel makes the pins actually harder to make out. Lastly on certain designs I have tried spot gloss, where only certain parts of the pin have gloss; such as on the Crystal Ball. This is my favorite outcome, but only works on certain designs.
Overall some pins will have gloss and others won't for the ideal looks!✨
Other things to address: These pins are made of wood as you all know! Working with organic material means understanding the natural variants of it. You can see I ordered the Sparkle Pin a few separate times and the wood colors, while all the same cherry woods, do alter slightly from piece to piece. In addition to that some of the pins are smoother while others are rougher, this is also a natural part of working with wood. Personally I quite enjoy the natural differences, it brings a charm to the work :)

I hope you like how everything is going! I am working very hard behind the scenes to promote and organize this project as best I can so we can have great success! ✨ Thank you!
