After many campaigns, we’ve found rising costs and unreliable delivery services in different countries make it untenable to offer direct delivery to backers outside of the U.S. and Canada. We’ve had too many packages returned or undelivered, and often times the cost of shipping costs more than the reward itself. Many of our customers use and have recommended we utilize package (or freight) forwarders. A package forwarder is an intermediary between the seller and the backer. The freight forwarder will provide the customer with a US based address to have packages shipped to and then the customer works directly with the package forwarder to arrange for the international shipping. They ship many things in an aggregated shipment, specializing in each country’s delivery service, increasing the chances of a smoother delivery and reducing your shipping costs. If you try out any of those suggestions, they will ship the book out to you wherever you are in the world. You pay the domestic shipping fees via this campaign to get to the forwarder, and then pay the forwarder to deliver it you. It's a more secure and economical way for backers to receive their rewards outside of the U.S. It does require an extra step that you will have to take, but we think it is worth while for lower shipping rates. Step 1: Sign up for a freight forwarder of your choice. They will need size and weight estimates which we are happy to provide. Step 2: When selecting your Kickstarter tier, select SHIP TO “US” or “CANADA” and enter the freight forwarder’s address. Step 3: Sit back and relax. We will ship the package to the freight forwarder and they will ship the package to you! Now that you have signed up for a freight forwarder, you can use this service for any future Kickstarters, or even any online shopping you do.
If you are using Private E-mail with an Apple ID, updates and communication will be blocked. If you are not, at times, emails are sent to your spam folders, so check there too (hotmail addresses aggressively send these updates into your spam folder). You can check back here for updates, but you will need to revise your email settings in order to receive your survey. We consistently mention this in our updates, but we still get many inquiries about why you haven't received an update, so if you can't change your settings, keep checking the updates and comments section here on Kickstarter.

No, shipping is NOT included in your pledge. That will be charged at the survey stage (which will also be here on Backerkit).
Since you are backing a campaign to get a project started, it's critical we are able to produce the correct quantity of books to fulfill this campaign. We will produce to order, so if you end up cancelling your pledge, it will have a negative impact on our campaign. Therefore, we have a no refunds policy. Please don't back this campaign if you have no intention of seeing your commitment through Thank you!

BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
