Hi, I’m  Cook, the artist and maker behind Colorful Cook! 
Over the past few years, I’ve built Colorful Cook into a successful independent online shop, creating and selling playful hand-poured silicone sculptures and running the business around them. 
Toys can sometimes be a little intimidating, so we offer a variety of cute designs for people who are new to exploring themselves and for experienced users alike. 
Chai the Taiyaki was the first design that launched the brand three years ago.

That experience now shapes the Chai-brator. It brings together the character that started our shop, feedback from our community, and a year of prototype testing and design improvements.

We have already funded the development and working prototype ourselves. This campaign will help us meet our manufacturing partner’s minimum order quantity and bring the Chai-brator into production. It is our first collaboration with an outside manufacturer, and the next chapter of the business we have spent years building.

Chai the Taiyaki became our first design that launched Colorful Cook three years ago. 
Since then, it’s adorable award winning aesthetic has captured the hearts of many.

While we love hand making toys in our small workshop, we realize that a lot of people need or want, a bit more buzz.

Our goal was to develop a beginner friendly, gender inclusive, fully integrated vibrator that can help lessen how intimidating and taboo self exploration can be.

We started with a doodle and feedback from our community on what the features of the Chai-brator should be.
After a year of testing prototypes and making modifications to improve the design, we’re happy to present the final product!

High Quality materials- Chai is made of body safe platinum cure silicone which means it’s non porous and free of phthalates. The internal handle structure of Chai is made of non toxic ABS plastic

Five Speed and lockable- Start off slow and go at your own pace, 5 speeds to choose from with just the press of a button!

You can cycle through the various speeds by lightly clicking the power button.

To lock Chai, press down on the power button and hold for five seconds. You’ll feel two consecutive rumble vibrations that indicate it’s locked. 
Press down for another 5 seconds to unlock it, you’ll feel two consecutive stronger vibrations when Chai is unlocked. 

Water Resistant- The Chai-brator is IPX7 water resistant.

Chai can withstand exposure to water in less than 3 feet for no longer than 30 minutes.

Rechargeable- Magnetic USB makes it easy to charge wherever you are!
Chai’s recommended charge time is 85 minutes.
A full charge gives you around 90 minutes of in use on the first 4 speeds and 80 minutes on the highest 5th speed.

Like most rechargeable vibes, we recommend only plugging in for the time it takes to fully charge to maintain the best battery health.

Compact & Innocuous- It’s small size and discrete design makes Chai the perfect travel companion 

If we reach our initial goal of being funded we can have some fun with colors!

If we reach $6000, the Chai-brator will be manufactured in Strawberry Pink.
If you’re interested in Matcha Green or Ube Purple, we suggest backing even if your preferred color is still locked. If your color remains locked, you can remove your pledge before the campaign ends. You will not be charged.

September 1st 2026 – October 5th 2026
The campaign will be active during this period. 
Once the campaign ends, backerkit will process all payments. You will not be charged for your pledge during the active campaign and you are free to modify or cancel your selections. 
Please note that once the campaign has closed and payments have been processed, we will not be accepting order modifications or refunds. 

Surveys will be sent after the payment collection is completed. During this time you’ll be able to select your preferred unlocked color, and provide your shipping information.

November 2026
Bulk production begins with an estimation of 3-4 months. Any delays or updates during production will be communicated through Backerkit updates and social media.

Winter 2027
Production is expected to be completed, quality checks and fulfillment will begin once the order is received by us. 
Orders will be shipped from our workshop. Tracking information will be provided once available.

Please note that all dates are estimates and may be subject to change due to manufacturing or shipping delays.

Any delays or change in production schedule will be updated during the campaign 

We are offering worldwide shipping excluding the counties listed below.
Shipping estimates for the U.S. are $8-10 (can be more depending on the amount purchased) and international rates are $28-35.

Shipping and sales taxes are not included when you pay for your pledge. You will be required to pay them separately when you complete your backer survey. This helps us ensure you’re charged the correct amount required for your location. 

We are not responsible for any customs fees, tariffs, or duties charged once we ship your items. 

You may edit or cancel your pledge while the campaign is active, but we will not be offering refunds or modifications once the campaign has ended and payments have been processed. By backing this project, you acknowledge that your pledge will be used to fund production.

We have self funded the development of the Chai-brator and the functioning prototype. We just need the funds to be able to purchase our minimum order quantity through our manufacturer!
If there are any unforeseen changes or issues during fulfillment, we will always offer a solution to our customers.

Please keep in mind that even though we try to accurately show colors, final shades may differ in person. 
The ombre fade on the ice cream will vary since each piece is uniquely poured. 

Silicone adhesive may be visible under the cone lip that seals the Chai-brator
