Frog and Rabbit live in Poppy Valley, and they're the best friends in the world! Sometimes, they have memorable adventures—would you like to tell some of them together?
A game for those who like children stories, whatever their age!
🇫🇷 (Rôlistes français·e·s, pour voir une version française de cette page, c'est par ici !)
A WEEK WITH FROG AND RABBIT is a small, 80-page TTRPG about two best friends who have cozy adventures! Frog and Rabbit live in Poppy Valley, where there's always something to do, somewhere to explore, some friends to meet: the book features seven stories that showcase some of their antics!
You'll like this game if you enjoy heartwarming stories, shared storytelling and very light game systems!
I strove to keep Frog and Rabbit as simple as possible: my goal is that you can go on a hike with the game in your back pocket, take it out and play it without any extra material available!
It is entirely based on shared storytelling: one of the players might take on the role of the storyteller but otherwise, the two friends are simply narrating what they are up to, after answering some starting questions at the beginning of each story.
The seven stories you can explore in the book are: - "Frog and Rabbit go for a walk" - "Frog and Rabbit visit a sick friend" - "Frog and Rabbit have a cup of tea" - "Frog and Rabbit look for a ghost" - "Frog and Rabbit and the great flood" - "Frog and Rabbit have a fight" - "Frog and Rabbit tell each other stories"
Most are quite mundane, other a bit more unusual but they all feature some example elements you can include in your stories as well as pacing suggestions. Other than that, as long as you follow the cardinal rule that things don't always work out the way you want (otherwise it wouldn't make for a very interesting story), all you need is your imagination!
In addition to the stories, you'll also find guides to make the characters of Frog and Rabbit your own, to draw a map of Poppy Valley, and play beyond the seven stories offered in the book!
You don't have to take my word for any of this, though: the full, digital version of the game is already available on itch.io!
I'm not offering a digital version of the game, since it's already available for free here! Therefore, there's only one possible reward, which is a printed version of the game for 12 €. You'll be able to select in which language you want to receive the game in the post-campaign survey!
However, I couldn't resist offering a little something extra, given the gorgeousness of François Maumont's art: you'll be able to add a sheet of stickers to your order for an extra 5€ !
What the sheet includes might evolve depending on how well the campaign goes!
Also, for this year's edition of BackerKit's Pocketopia, I'm collaborating with the wonderful people of Chuzdud Games who are funding their Trinkit card game. Backing both projects will get you an exclusive reward: a special adventure of Frog and Rabbit about meeting an unusual friend!
And that's not all: I'm also doing this campaign under the "Family Friendly games" banner! And if you support at least 3 of the projects gathered there, you'll get a free sticker from me (plus many other stickers from other creators!).
Finally, you'll also be able to purchase a print version of many of my previous full games—Green Dawn Mall, Two Summers and its supplement Other Summers, Meanwhile, in the Subway, Broken Cities, Feathered Adventures, The Red Lion Hotel. I'll also be offering a handful of my smaller games: HERE & NOW, The 7th Rainbow,She Traveled / She Stayed, Hex & the Punks, SEX/VIOLENCE/POOP 3 and We were punks. That's a lot of games!!
Green Dawn Mall—teenagers searching for their lost friend in a weird endless mall
Two Summers—wonderful adventures 30 years apart
Other Summers—alternative settings and rules for Two Summers
Meanwhile, in the Subway—surrealist adventures in the form of a map

Note that shipping fees will be collected after the campaign. If you live in North America, fees should be somewhere about $9-11 for untracked parcels; I'll be working with Studio 2 as a fulfillment partner and we'll try to keep prices as low as possible. If you live anywhere else in the world, fees should be somewhere between 6 and 15 € for untracked parcels. The finished game shouldn't weigh too much, so I should be able to keep things affordable.
Also note that, given the state of things, these indication are subject to change and I can't guarantee the fees indicated here. Additionally, there will most probably be customs dues to pay for your copy, depending on where you live.
I'll be printing the books as soon as the campaign ends, so you can expect to receive them this Summer (sometime between June and August) depending on where you live!
My base goal for this project is 3500 €. This covers the cost of François Maumont's wonderful illustrations as well as printing the most basic version of the physical book I have in mind: an A6-sized, 80-page, full color softcover book. However, I'd very much like to add extra features to the book, such as a ribbon bookmark, a hardback cover, lots extra drawings... Let's hit the base goal first and then we'll see what's possible once we reach 4000 €, shall we?
François Maumont is a prolific illustrator who has pretty much done it all: children books, video games, magazines... and TTRPGs! A Week with Frog and Rabbit is his third such work after Adventures on a single pageand Feathered Adventures. He has done all the illustrations for this game, which are also featured on his website!
This is far from my first rodeo: Frog and Rabbit is my 9th crowdfunding campaign and the previous 8 have all been successful, hitting no particular obstacle, so I'm confident this one will be similar. The game is fully laid out and written, in fact it's already available digitally! I'm confident I'll have it printed and ready to be sent before summer is over.
Let's make this game a reality!
