We'd like to thank each of you for your support and excitement for this project, as the funding period has officially come to a close! With your guys' help we were able to unlock all of our offerings; Each of the pins and mini pins, all of their colorways, even a new run for the original Midnight Festival, and much more!

We are very thankful to have a community that admires our art and loves our work. We're excited to bring you along for our future projects as well :>

We have officially blocked out some time for setting up the surveys over the next few days, and the first smoke tests are scheduled to be sent out on May 14th. Once feedback is received from our testers and any/all of the issues have been resolved the surveys will be sent out only a few days later. We're shooting for a Saturday on the 16th!

Once The surveys have been sent out they'll be due after two weeks at which point the payments and surveys will be locked. With everything according to plan this should happen on May 30th!

We'll be mindful to send occasional updates as we progress through the survey process (as well as through production and fulfillment when that time comes) 🫡

Currently on our horizon we've got two upcoming projects, the nearest of which being Filipino Folklore a campaign that focuses on the mythology from Tokii's ancestral home in the Philippines. Research and preparations for this project have begun, and you can expect to see inclusions of the creatures and cryptids that haunt the jungles and are the antagonists of many a cautionary tale.

Later on in the year for the Pocket Change event we've been wanting to make a bunch of little mushroom friends for our Mini Myconid campaign. These fun guys will be designed off of different species of real-world mushrooms both of edible and inedible variety. So whether you're a fan of eating Portobellos or a partaker of admiring Destroying Angels from a safe distance, this project will have something fun for you! Plus little guys are just fun even if you're not a mushroom enthusiast. :>

We are officially back home from our trip to see my sister, and back into fulfillment for Infernal Invasions (one of our previous campaigns) fulfillment is a tedious process but we took a momentary break from it because we'd received a few emails asking for details on how the original Yokai from the first Midnight Festival campaign would be made available. Our answer is that there is a variety of ways all of you will have the opportunity, so we've listed them below, find the title that best fits your ideals and it will explain how the original designs will be made available to you;

I would like the OG Yokai at their original price of $15:
The original Yokai will be made available at their original price as an add-on during the survey phase. This will not replace any of your current pins you've pledged for, but it will require an additional add-on or add-ons depending on how many of the original Yokai you'd like. We'll be sure to include discounted options for those of you looking for multiple ;>

I would like to avoid additional add-ons to my current pledge:
Do not fret! The original Yokai will also be available to anyone who has pledged for at least one Yokai pin as well as for anyone who has selected add-ons for an additional Yokai pin or pins. You won't have to increase your pledge amount to get the Yokai you desire, Though the benefit of getting them at their reduced price will not be available through this method

I am uncertain which pin designs I want:
We don't blame you at all, there's a lot of options to choose from! Though I still wouldn't worry too much - if you find out that you would like more of what was offered during this campaign (Whether it's a banner, one of the original Yokai pins, or anything else from this project) they will be available for you as add-ons during the survey phase :>

A short update today, but we wanted to get your guys' thoughts on a design decision for our Maneki Neko colorway. For the original we had aimed for the usual design seen in many Maneki Neko statues, and later guided by you guys to more accurately depict their tri-colored look as seen below:

To continue this vibe we wanted to emulate another commonly seen design in real life with the shiny gold Maneki Neko statues. Referenced below:

However, we wanted to see if we can do something a little more than trying to print on something that looks like gold and actually give the enamel something that makes it stand out in the same way the gold statue does.
Our first Idea was to do recessed metal with clear enamel on top, but we were reminded of a pin we had done similarly and weren't very enthused by once it was done physically (this was the Ruby Leo from our Celestial Coronations campaign). Being not fully satisfied with that option we asked our manufacturer if they had some examples of two other options; Glitter Gold Enamel, and Pearl Swirl Gold Enamel. Though, they didn't have a good example of the pearl swirl they did send us a reference of pearl swirl with blue and white. See Below:

I wanted to see what you guys thought we should do, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments and vote in the attached poll. I would note that the colors above are not exact (especially for the pearl swirl, but I also think we'd be able to get a closer to gold than the referenced Mr. Dragonball's hair) so be mindful to vote based off the effect and not the colors ;>

Once we reach $8,000 in funding, the colorways for the Artistic Spirit winners will officially be available to our backers, and the winning artists will each receive their reward with their orders!
