A Brand New Adventure for the Boxed Set
We're working on an adventure specifically designed for the Boxed Set, that will introduce you to a whole new set of mechanics for dungeons, from building them to exploring their depths.
And who will head up this brave new adventure..?
Introducing the Spelunker!
The adventure will also feature a brand new Legacy: the Spelunker.
The Spelunker is for those who want to delve deep into the unknown; explorers, cave divers, and adventurers who thrive in the darkness beneath the forest.
This Legacy brings a unique playstyle that rewards clever navigation, resourcefulness, and an understanding of the treacherous environments you'll encounter.
Dice + Cards System for the Boxed Set
One of the biggest decisions we've made for the Boxed Set is the introduction of a hybrid dice and cards system. Here's how it works:
🎲 Dice for Resolutions - Core resolution mechanics will use custom dice designed specifically for Brambletrek. These dice keep the game flowing, create tension, and make every roll feel meaningful.
🃏 Cards for Events and Combat - Events and combat will continue to use cards to streamline gameplay and give players and House Mouses quick-reference tools at the table. These cards keep things organized, reduce rulebook flipping, and add a tactile element to key moments in the game.
This hybrid system combines the best of both worlds: the satisfying randomness and physicality of rolling dice with the clarity and structure of card-based encounters. We've playtested this extensively, and we cannot wait for you to get to experience it too!
Custom Dice Design - Free for All Boxed Set Backers
In honour of this new combined system, we're currently working on the dice set, and we're committed to getting them just right.
And here's the best part: these dice will be added to everybody's Starter Set for free!

There's a special kind of magic in stories about small creatures and gentle adventures. It's the magic of the Hundred Acre Wood, where nothing is too urgent, friendship matters more than glory, and the greatest adventures often involve finding your way home.

🐭 The PDF: Delivered and Waiting
The Brambletrek 2 Core Rulebook PDF is in backers' hands, and it has become the biggest Winnie-the-Pooh-inspired RPG created to date. It's filled with cozy adventures, whimsical encounters, and that gentle spirit of exploration that makes the Hundred Acre Wood feel like home.
If you haven't explored it yet, we hope you'll find time to wander its pages. There's comfort and friendship there, and the kind of adventures that don't need to shake the world to matter.
Physical copies are entering the sampling phase soon. Once we approve the samples, you'll know exactly when these books will arrive on your doorstep, ready to live on your shelf and invite you back to the woods whenever you need that gentle escape.
🏠 The Starter Set: A New Path
We would also like to update you on the progress of the Brambletrek Starter Set designed for group adventures.
As things stand, we are in the process of figuring out the best way for it to work mechanically. Our initial design used cards, which created some lovely and unique moments. However, at the table, we found that this sometimes slowed things down with shuffling and manipulation. For a game that's meant to flow like a lazy river, that friction matters.
Accessibility is our north star here. We want this Starter Set to welcome everyone, from experienced gamers to complete newcomers, those who can shuffle cards easily to those for whom that's a barrier.
So we're exploring: Cards? Dice? A hybrid system? Something else entirely? We're in that beautiful, uncertain space where we're not quite sure yet, but we're committed to finding the answer that serves the game and its players best.
Playtesting begins in 2026. We'll take the time we need to get this right, because rushing would betray the very spirit of what Brambletrek represents.
🌱 Seeds for the Future
More Brambletrek 2 content is coming in 2026! There will be new places to explore, new friends to meet and new adventures to experience.
It's just thoughts right now, whispers of what might be. But we wanted you to know that the Hundred Acre Wood will continue to grow, and there are plenty more paths ahead.

Our Housemouse Rules are coming along wonderfully. Development has been steady, and we’ll be moving into playtesting in the new year.

You know, I still can't quite believe it's nearly the end of 2025. When I started this year I knew I wanted to write a Winnie the Pooh story with Bramble but who would have thought it would become this?
I am still in awe of how big Brambletrek is getting and all of your support means the world to me. This is going to be an amazing month of writing for me and I cannot wait to share more with you!
