Hey all, short update here from us at DGG. We just distributed the PDFs so your inbox should have a link for the download. We hope that you enjoy this adventure full of intrigue and gothic undertones. If you have a critical eye, please read through the PDF as soon as you can and let us know if you stumble upon any typos or have any suggestions to improve our product.
Marc is working on the streamlined, Judges' notes version of the adventure. We will drop those PDFs for all backers when it is ready.
We are sending the master copy to the printer for a proof copy. Once funds come through from Backerkit, we will begin the packing and shipping for all physical copy backers. The stickers are in and look great! Every physical copy gets at least one DGG sticker because you helped us crush that stretch goal. Thank you!!
Lastly, there are 7 surveys still not completed. You will miss the PDF this time around, but please get those surveys completed so you get yours next time we push them out.
May your games be outrageous and may you press your Luck well, Judges Cro, Marc, Paul from Death Guaranteed Games
Hey! We have tried to keep the updates to a minimum since we know Backerkit also sends automated emails. I'm sure we all get too many emails ;)
However, we want to be in communication to the general backer body. For most of you, there have been no issues and for that, we are grateful. 64% of surveys are completed. We just clicked "lock orders in 48hrs" today which should also prompt anyone who has yet to complete their survey. Mostly, the surveys help to give us address for shipping physical copies (and computing rates), confirm all orders and any add-ons, and then move us along to the step where we can make the PDFs available for download. If you still haven't completed the survey, please do that right away.
The polls were a fun way to engage with our fans.
The Triclops will add a +d8 for his Mighty Deed attack bonus. Look out for us sharing his signature move in future updates.
The monster stat block that Marc created will be used in both the print and PDF copies of this adventure. Most of you really liked it.
The streamlined, "judge's prep" version of the adventure will be sent to all backers of the adventure as a free add-on PDF.
For the general timeline, here is what April looks like:
lock orders and charge cards
start PDF distribution (please help us "stomp the typo" and send any feedback to us right away)
send master file off to the printer for a proof copy
order 200 copies of the print copy
sort out and print the shipping labels before USPS adds their fuel surcharge (we are very happy to announce that we sorted out an arrangement with PirateShip to get a discount on International rates so that brought the prices way down from our last 3 campaigns AND we are adding extra special packaging for those as well #dggworldwide)
get the team together and have a "packing/shipping party"
drop the postal box full of print modules at the post office (while we still have one)
then get right back at it for DGG's next TWO adventure modules in the Calisdoom series; both level 2 and both in playtest right now. We aim to launch the crowdfund campaign for these together in August/September
!!!HUGE ANNOUCEMENT!!!
All of us here at DGG (Cro, Paul, Marc) will be going to GenCon this year!! We can't wait to meet you at the tables and at the Goodman booth. We will each be running games for Goodman as well as running our own (published and playtesting) adventures. We all love to play in convention games with the authors, so we are making that available for you!
Thank you all for being a huge part of why the DCC community is the BEST in TTRPGs! ~Judge Cro
Well after a week in the mountains with no service, I am back to civilization and happy to see we surpassed one of the late stretch goals! I will be working hard to finalize the layout for the module and sending it off to the printer by next week for our "proof" and once approved, full printing will begin. That means, by the time the backerkit survey comes out in a couple weeks, PDFs should just about be ready to go out and printing should be starting if not done already. This keeps us on track for our April shipping expectation.
I did spend some time writing while up in those mountains and I am happy to say, playtesting of my follow up, second level module should be starting soon! If you are interested in being part of a playtest, I plan on running live at Strategicon, possibly Gen Con and some online games. Reach out and let me know if you are interested as I will need a pool of victims...I mean players to test out my crazy ideas!
Lastly, the preorder page will be up and live in case you missed the campaign itself and still want your copy of Discovery of the Doomweaver!!!
We are excited to bring you this series of adventures. Because of your incredible support, we reached our initial funding goal in just 48 hours!
This project started as a dream, and you’re making it a reality. To say thank you—and to make The Discovery of the Doomweaver even better—we are officially announcing our Stretch Goals.
Here is what we can unlock together:
$2500 - [DGG Sticker]: If we hit this, every physical backer gets 1 of our DGG Triclops logo vinyl stickers at no additional cost.
$2800 - [Doomweaver cover art sticker]: If we hit this, every physical backer gets 1 of the cover art vinyl stickersat no additional cost.
$3000 - [2 Doomweaver Sword Sticker]: If we hit this, every physical backer gets 2 of Doomweaver sword vinyl stickers (1 for the judge to keep and 1 to handout to the soul brave enough to claim it!) at no additional cost.
How you can help: Share our page with one person today. Word of mouth is the only reason we've come this far!
Additionally, the three eyes of the triclops came together to discuss using DCC for campaign and long format play in Episode 1 of our Death Guaranteed Games Deathcast. Follow the link to hear about our experiences and some fun and interesting rulings we have made at tables.
Hello backers and supporters of Death Guaranteed Games,
We are halfway through the campaign and have cleared the funding goal. With that in mind, I am working on finalizing some additional details, such as more lore for the Doomweaver Blade and any additional "Judge Notes" we feel would be beneficial, especially for newer judges. In the layout preview provided below, you can see grey "Judge Notes" boxes with reminders and details for running the module as well as our stat blocks which we have modified in a way that we feel makes it easier to run the creatures. As always we welcome feedback and would love to hear what you all think. We also ask if you know anyone who might be interested in picking up this, or one of our previous modules, please share as the more we can raise in this campaign, the more we have to put towards art and swag in future modules.
Thank you again for the support and we will talk to you again soon.
