Project Update: First Day Down
HEY EVERYONE!
Our first day is over, and I wanted to discuss our plans for the new content.
NOVEL
Affinity, The Next Book continues to follow our numerous characters through their respective timelines. My writing style, which I embraced with this novel and Amethyst Hallowed Kingdoms, continues to reflect my own belief in making it accessible to people craving more action and dialogue. I received considerable positive feedback claiming it’s a technique receptive to those with ADHD, and I plan on maintaining that pattern. If the allegory a lot of readers missed isn’t obvious before, it may be so with the newest book. Expect a page/word count to match or supersede the previous. The plan is to prioritize the novel to have it finished by the time the print run reaches distribution, as the physical novels are printed in the US and thus can reach distribution very quickly.
SUPPLEMENTS
The three supplements are somewhat undefined by this point. This is not a concern, as the adventures in the 2020 Kickstarter were also undefined until after the campaign finished. Virus continues to rise as a thread, and our heroes are forced to confront the biggest mysteries of their worlds in order to deal with said threat. Where did the tower come from? What resides at the center of the vessel? What secret has the Aegis been keeping? Along with these adventures, we hope to expand the world with new races, gear (weapons and armour) as well as new monsters. How many? Well, that depends on the campaign. I want to double the weapons in Torus, double the mechs in Conestoga, and increase the number of Aegis tech in Paradise. I’d also like to expand the number of monsters by at least twelve, maybe more, but this will depend once again on how far the campaign reaches.

AUDIOBOOK
In the previous campaign, we offered an audiobook, which remains the only unfulfilled reward. Shockingly, we received an olive branch from an audio engineer, and things are moving forward once again on this project. If I am confident that mixing and post-production have started, I’ll include this as a reward for all pledge levels.
