Not much new to report. Still waiting on CYST to get printed and ship. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm gonna have to eat my hat in tariffs (oof), but fortunately we were prepared for that.
Anywho, once it's closer I'll give an update. Everything else is here and ready to go. Just waiting on it.
Just a quick post for you all. While I'd hoped that the book was actually on a boat, I found out that it—like many other items being manufactured overseas—is still stuck waiting to get onto a boat for port. Our folks at Eastar are telling us that it'll reach the docks on the 5th of August.
Thanks for being patient. Hopefully, I'll have some more information for all of you soon.
Just got the final sample of CYST. Printing is good to go. I don't want to give an exact timeline as the tariff situation is shaking a lot of stuff up, but the printers quoted 25 days last week. The wild card is how long it sticks in customs.
Everything else is in-house and ready. Arcade, cards, screens, and all the VHS versions should be ready by then, too, as they're being printed stateside. Curiously, our stateside printer has reduced its printing costs. How? Who knows. Either way, win-win.
The book is still in shrink, but the UV coating looks phenomenal, and the tail band is super sexy. I had a couple of last-minute edits (you can proofread a million times and still find errors), but otherwise, it's perfect, with a new ending and all.
Some good news: the tariffs are paused, so that means it won't affect what we've got coming in. I'm waiting on a sample for the main book but I've already given them the greenlight to produce is. So we're about 25 days out from getting it. Arcade will be ready by then, too. And then Xanthophobia probably later this year.
That's all we got for you now!
I'll post pics of the final final version (quadruple proofed, rewritten, and UV spot and stuff) once we get it via FedEx (probably early next week).
Our pal Tom Cartos, the guy who made the maps for the Horror RPG, has just launched his own Kickstarter featuring a book of modern maps. These not only offer you physical maps to use with the Horror RPG, but you can use them for, well... practically anything.
