One shattered wheel. Three factions. Three complete sets of seven gemstone dice - every emblem carved by hand into natural gemstone, every roll a whisper of fate. Light, shadow, or fire: which one answers you?
Some dice roll for fortune. These dice read the track of fate.
We are Doloir - a Hong Kong-based collective of tabletop players, gemstone lovers, and lifelong dreamers. We did not set out to make another set of dice. We set out to carve fragments of a shattered god-wheel that you can hold in your palm.
Today, we proudly bring you the opening saga of the Duskwheel Chronicle: Dawnsworn, Voidstep, and Emberword. Three factions. Three complete sets of carved gemstone dice. Three ways fate speaks at your table - collect them all now, or let the first one find you.
Long ago, the Primordial Wheel wove every thread of destiny. It turned the seasons, settled the tides, and wrote the endings of every story before the first word was spoken. When it broke in the Duskwheel War, its shards scattered across the realms , and from each shard a faction was born.
Each faction held its own Fate Dice, ancd the numbers on those dice were never random. They were the track of fate cut at the exact moment of the roll - a slice of what is, what was, and what might still be. To roll a Fate Dice is to read the rail of destiny itself. The tide pacts of the deep remember the wheel's ocean rim; the stardust contracts of the sky cities hum with its broken axis; the divine archives record each shard's keeper; and far below, the abyss beacon watches the wheel's last unmade face.
When dawn touches the temple spire, light-forged dice declare the god's judgment for the one who holds them.
You come to the Dawn Temple carrying one question you have never said aloud. Seven carved stones are placed in your hands - Sun Wheel to open the day, Spire to stand guard, Sacred Scales to weigh the choice, Morning Star to herald what comes, Light Pillar to hold back the dark, Vow Codex to remember what you swear. At the center rests the Halo Ring, the circle of first light that crowns every oath. Now roll, and let the temple read what you could not say.
For paladins who answer at dawn, clerics who carry the party's faith, and guardians who hold the line when everyone else has stepped back - this set turns every roll into a vow you meant to keep.
The shadow blade guild believes the dark remembers every answer the light cannot see.
They will tell you the guild leaves no letters, only marks. The Night Mark for the thing that should never be found, the Shadow Blade for the hand that is never seen, the Ring Blade for the oath that binds in silence, the Cat's Eye for the watcher who never sleeps, the Dark Pact for the deal signed in shadow, and the Mist Trace for the name that disappears after. Above them waits the Shadow Lord - the answer the dark keeps for itself. No one in the guild will confirm any of this. The dice simply remember.
If you play a rogue, assassin, or anyone who reads a room before it speaks - trust that these dice already know the room better than you.
Every ember remembers the fire it came from. Roll, and the earth answers with its next burning prophecy.
We do not call them dice. We call them words the earth has not finished saying. The Deep Earth Eye watches, the Scorch Mark sears, the Ember Star burns, the Lava Crack flows, the Ember Feather drifts, and the Volcano Seal closes what must stay closed. When the Council needs the oldest answer, we ask the Fire Ring - the unbroken circle of flame that answers only to the fire at the center of the world. What we carve today, the earth already whispered to us.
Give these to your sorcerer, your fire warlock, your player who never rolls small. Then watch what the embers say back.
Every chapter is carved from natural stone, and each material carries its own voice in the story of the wheel. Five answer the call from the first day; two sleep deeper and wake only when your support rises high enough to reach them.
Moonlit Shoal (White Crystal)
Clear quartz, the stone of light and truth - the same crystal used in our photographed samples. It answers to keepers of oaths and clear minds.
Violet Stillwater (Amethyst)
A violet crystal of the quartz family, long used to calm minds and steady hands. The stone of wizards, bards, and careful planners.
Emerald Drift (Green Aventurine)
A green stone flecked with natural shimmer, called the traveler's luck stone. The dice you reach for when your character steps into the unknown.
Midnight Trench (Obsidian)
Volcanic glass born from ancient fire, sharp enough to hold the edge of a memory. The stone of rogues, warlocks, and secrets.
Crimson Reef (African Bloodstone)
Dark green stone threaded with veins of red, carried by sorcerers who turn raw will into power that will not be tamed. The stone of those who command the fire within.
Golden Gale (Yellow Tiger's Eye) - Unlocks at USD 750
A golden-brown stone with a banded eye that follows the light. The hunter's stone for those who refuse to be ambushed twice.
Abyssal Night (Lapis Lazuli) - Unlocks at USD 1,500
Deep celestial blue flecked with gold, like stars frozen in night. The stone of the throne and the spellbook.
Every dice set starts as natural gemstone. In the first quiet light of the workshop, we hold the stone up and wait for the emblem it wants to carry. We design that face with care, carve it into the crystal, color the deep lines, and polish until the light moves across it like water - until the gemstone stops being stone and becomes part of the Chronicle.
Crafting carved stone dice with this level of detail is a labor of patience. We have funded our prototype work ourselves. Now we need your support to bring these hand-carved dice to tables around the world.
We are not a large corporate brand. We are gamers and craftspeople building this collection for our global tabletop community, with every design and production choice rooted in the care that only comes from makers who roll dice at their own tables.
Our campaign goal is USD 383 - a modest beginning we can keep - because we would rather begin the journey with you than wait for a perfect moment. Every step beyond that goal wakes something new:
USD 750 - Golden Gale Awakens
Yellow Tiger's Eye joins the material choices, and every backer can add it through the Pledge Manager.
USD 1,500 - Abyssal Night Rises
Lapis Lazuli joins the material choices. The family of seven stones stands complete.
USD 2,500 - The Double-Engraved D20s
Each chapter's D20 receives a second sacred emblem. For Dawnsworn, the Halo Ring on the 20 face meets the Sun Wheel on the 1 face; for Voidstep, the Shadow Lord on the 20 face meets the Night Mark on the 1 face; for Emberword, the Fire Ring on the 20 face meets the Deep Earth Eye on the 1 face. Once unlocked, backers will vote in three separate Pledge Manager polls - one for Dawnsworn, one for Voidstep, one for Emberword - so each chapter gets its own reveal moment and its own story to follow.
USD 5,000 - The Eastern Tale Begins
Cinnabar Furnace, the first relic from the Shanhai Annals, unlocks as an exclusive pledge option - a mountain-sea shard of the shattered wheel, told only to the Chronicle's most devoted backers.
The wheel holds more stories beyond these three oaths - but the saga you hold today is complete on its own: light, shadow, and fire, ready to roll whenever you are. When you back this project, you are not just buying dice. You are joining a story that keeps turning.
Every set we craft helps us grow the initiatives we run alongside our creative work:
Hong Kong Youth Tabletop Creative Labs - We partner with local community art hubs to host free monthly RPG and design workshops for under-resourced young people.
Craft Preservation Circles - We work with local artisans and small workshops so hand-carving skills are passed on to the next generation of makers.
When you back the Chronicle, you join that mission: empowering young creators through tabletop play and proving that the stories we roll together can shape the world beyond the table.
We are three friends who share a lifelong obsession with tabletop roleplay games and the art of making things by hand.
Mia - Lead Designer
Mia has been DMing since she was 16. She doodles creatures on napkins mid-session and turns them into dice. If a design does not make her smile, it does not make the cut.
Leo - Master Craftsman
Leo is a perfectionist with an eye for detail. He has been known to reject an entire batch because a shade of color was two percent off.
Sophia - Community Lead
Sophia is the heart of our community. She runs our impact programs and answers every backer message like it is the most important thing in her day.
We are three friends, not a brand. We love games, we love craft, and we believe something as small as a set of dice can make someone's night better.
We will collect shipping costs after the campaign ends via the pledge manager, so you only pay the exact rate for your location. We ship worldwide via tracked courier. Backers who pledge to multiple chapters receive one combined order and one shipping fee.
To every player who has ever rolled dice and hoped for something wonderful, to every paladin, assassin, and fire mage who found a piece of themselves at the table - thank you.
Dawnsworn, Voidstep, and Emberword are not just our project - they are yours. These dice will sit on your table, roll through your triumphs and your failures, and remind you that every adventure is a thread in a larger story.
