Project Update: Shipping Update #2 (And a Special Bonus NPC Encounter!)
We've been asked a couple times for an update on shipping, and while we would have loved to give some more information out earlier, things are out of our hands now - meaning we rely on when the logistics providers can supply us with additional information to pass your way.
That said, just earlier today we received an update with some exciting news!
Books Are On Their Way To Your Homes! Or at least they will be soon, if you're in the USA. Some backers should have already received their tracking information (particularly backers in more regional areas), but if you live in a population center it may take a bit more time since those will generally all be shipped together and all need to be processed.
If you live outside the USA, then your books are still on the freight carriers from the factory - none of them have reached port yet as far as we know, and when they do will be dependent on your region (for example, Europeans should be able to expect things fairly soon, while Australians may have to wait some more time.)
Who Can I Contact About Shipping Problems?
Celebrating Despair Dilemma with a Special NPC Encounter!
In all of the excitement, Iris (Our lead editor and co-designer on both games) wanted to celebrate with by making an NPC encounter for Perfect Draw! featuring the "Death Game Mascot" of the book, Usashi:
Just like with Perfect Draw!, Despair Dilemma is already a near complete game and we'll have a Prototype PDF available to everyone who supports it in the same way as we did here once the funding period ends! For now, backers are working with us to make a custom Death Game called "The Purgatory Express", where each element is voted on before we include it in the final book.
We're really proud of the game, so if you're a fan of the genre or just TTRPGs that do a little bit different, I hope you'll support us by giving the game a look!

Project Update: Books are on their way! Shipping Begins!!
I'm happy to say that we've been informed that books have Arrived in the USA! It should only be a bit before they get to the warehouse and you start receiving shipping information for your order!
We're still waiting for exact information regarding Europe, Australia, Canada, and other Regions outside the USA - but you should expect to hear some sort of update soon (if maybe a bit later then backers in the USA).
If you've changed addresses, keep an eye out for any emails regarding the tracking number for the order. You should be able to submit an appeal with the logistics provider or your local post office to get it to your new address!
Thank you all so much for joining us and I'm deeply excited to get books in everyone's hands!!
Our New Project Launches Soon!!
If you or someone you know are a fan of Death Games like Danganronpa, Squid Game, and Zero Escape - or if you're just a fan of unique TTRPGs, then this is a project you can't miss!
Everyone who Signs Up to be notified when we launch will get access to our Free Demo, and everyone who Backs in the First 48 hours will add +1 Community Copy to be made available to TTRPG players in need!
Thank you all so much,
Nora Jean Haynes
Project Update: 2025 Double Summon Games Consumer Survey
Hey everyone! Nora again!
Production on Perfect Draw! is going smoothly and we should have news for you soon - but in the meantime, we wanted to get some insights into the types of people who backed our game, the types of games they love in turn, and what projects from us they might be interested in for the future!
To help with that, we've developed a Consumer Survey we'd love if you took the time to fill out here: https://forms.gle/yovcr7GVCK288z7t9
All questions are completely optional, so if you don't feel comfortable answering anything, you can skip it! It should only take 10 minutes or so to complete depending on how long you ruminate over any given question. You can even get some sneak previews into potential projects we're working on in the future!
We'll be back soon with information on shipping for Perfect Draw!, but for now I'm interested to see how things turn out! We've added a Survey Discussion channel to the Double Summon Games Discord if you want to talk it out with other like-minded folks!
Have a great rest of the week,
Nora Jean Haynes
I've doubled checked the handbook, and I'm assuming the answer is obvious but I want to ask to be safe: When playing the NPCs, when do you declare attack phase? For players, it's Draw, Play Warrior/Item from hand, Play Staple or Invocation, then attack. As for NPCs, it's Establish Plan to Win/Power Card Move, Simple Card Move, and then attack? I assume that this is the case but I feel like I should confirm it. Thanks, y'all!
Project Update: The Books are Here! Shipping starts soon!!
The books are in!! Just a couple days ago, we received the final proofs in the mail, and after checking everything we could, I'm glad to say we were able to approve the game for mass printing and shipment to backers. The hardcover especially feels fantastic, it's just the right size to feel sturdy but still extremely usable. I'm really excited to see the game get into people's hands!
We're actually slightly ahead of schedule from what we had predicted last time we gave an update, so we can ideally expect things to go pretty smoothly from here. The production company is already printing copies of the book for backers, and we've sent in the final shipping information to our distributors.
We'll likely have more news soon, so be on the look out for shipping updates in the coming few weeks.
Thank you all so much for joining us on this journey! Keep an eye out for updates regarding Despair Dilemma as we get closer to its launch, and for more information regarding the future of Perfect Draw! some time a little after then.
I hope you have a great weekend,
Nora Jean Haynes
