Eric Searle "Infinite" LP
Infinite
This project is intended as a memorial and physical archive of the work of Eric Searle, who died from gastric cancer in February 2025.
Eric was a skilled and talented electronic musician, however, none of his more recent work has been found or recovered. What we do have are the tracks he submitted to various compilations released by the experimental music collective Infinite Sector during the 2000s and some unreleased collaborations from the same time frame.
Project Details
This release will include tracks from this era of his creativity, he recorded using the monikers Droid If Machine, Pigslice, and Signal. Additionally, he recorded with collaborators in the projects Ableptic Jester Guild, Dew Ditch, and Turtle Butter - some of which is unreleased previously. These pieces range from electronic psychedelic weirdness to hypnotic noises and fuzzed-out bass guitar drones.
This is a clear 180 gram lathe-cut vinyl release featuring Eric's visual artwork on the outer and inner jacket and center label. Record length will be around 40 minutes long. This also comes with two die-cut laminated vinyl stickers based on his art.
Project Timeline
While waiting in the queue for the record cutting, we'll select specific tracks and remaster for vinyl - not necessarily from original recordings. Additional work will be done preparing the packaging artwork during that time. A wild guess would be one month for this prep work to be complete.
The cutting and shipping process for the record and packaging has a turnaround time of eleven weeks. The stickers have a shorter turnaround time of less than three weeks.
Pricing
The expected pledge level is $25.50 plus shipping. All of the pledge goes towards the cost of the record, packaging, and stickers. This is all at-cost and there won't be one cent of profit.
