Wanna be lazy? Run Druskara.
When we tell people that the books amount to around 1000 pages, they sometimes say, "Uh oh, I don't have time to read all that!"
But you don't have to. That's the entire id...
Since we just smashed through the $135K stretch goal (thank you!!), we wanted to start a discussion here instead of sending another update and flooding everyone’s inbox.
For this stretch goal, the community will get to vote on a new Class and Ancestry to be added to Druskara. We have some really cool ideas ourselves, but we want to hear what you have been wanting to see at the table.
Classes:
What do you feel is missing from the classes already released in Unnatural Selection, Shadowdark, or other 3rd-party supplements?
Is there a class fantasy you’ve always wanted to play but haven’t really seen done yet? Something that would make you excited to roll up a character and jump into a campaign?
Ancestries:
Same deal here... what ancestries do you feel are missing from Shadowdark right now?
While we’d prefer not to create a full animal-folk zoo, we do have an idea for how something like that could be implemented if it’s something people really want.
What ancestries would be fun for you to roleplay? What would bring something new to your group’s table?

When we post our next update, we’ll gather the most interesting suggestions and turn them into a community poll so everyone can vote.
We also have a major stretch goal announcement coming up that’s absolutely killing us to keep under wraps… but you’ll just have to build a little anticipation.

Right now, the book is sold out — but with so many new backers discovering Dungeon Damsel through Druskara, we’re considering bringing it back for another print run. Unnatural Selection is woven into the four books that make the Druskara Core Set. Despite this, you're still hungry for our original creation. Unnatural Selection birthed the roots from which Dungeon Damsel Publishing grew from.
What if we re-print? If we did, the book would be updated to the new format/design internals as Druskara, so that they can exist seamlessly alongside one another. See some of the campaign imagery to find out what that may look like. We would also open up a few new pledge tiers to accommodate the book.

It’s been about a week since funding closed, and we just want to take a moment to say it properly... thank you. This big ol' project exists because of you!
And now we finally get to start showing you more of what’s coming. The Umbral Caldera cover art reveal...

The Umbral Caldera is exactly what it looks like... suffocating, dark, dangerous and crawling with all manner of creatures. Mark absolutely nailed the tone here, and we cannot wait for you to hold this pretty little zine in your hands.
Surveys & Pre-orders:
We’re currently in the process of getting everything lined up on the backend. Surveys are slotted to hopefully go out in about a week, once funds have fully settled.
Alongside that, preorders will open soon for those who missed the campaign or want to grab more. It's possible pre-orders will be opening sooner as we are discussing with Backerkit to implement and beta test a new literal late pledge feature. We’ll keep you posted every step of the way.

Spawns of the Mindrender is a massive 600-page dark fantasy adventure and campaign setting for levels 11–15, built for both 2014 and 2024 5e. It leans hard into survival, exploration, and large-scale conflict in a brutal mountain realm, with a branching narrative that evolves as players dig deeper.
I know we’re all Shadowdark gremlins here. This is a different system, but the dark fantasy energy is very much there. If you’ve got even the slightest itch for a bigger, crunchier, high-level experience… this thing looks seriously cool and absolutely worth a peek.

At this milestone, we’re bringing something special to the table: a custom metal dice set inspired by the cover of Spells & Specialties. Think a wolven ram skull, wrapped in intertwining thorned vines and roses. Beautiful and brutal. A piece that captures the core of Druskara: Life and death. Growth and decay.
These are not going to be some sort of standard item with a generic template and generic branding. They are going to be crafted, with input and design from your favorite artists, and brought to life alongside a dedicated 3D render artist to make sure every detail is perfected. The weight, finish, and overall feel will be built around Druskara's core aesthetic: wicked, beautiful and murderous.
These dice are going to be LIT like a freshly burning torch.
