Perpetual war, cyclical plagues, and exploitative industry define the world of Dheghom. Here, authority is not held by kings alone; it is contested by industrial cartels with private armies, challenged in the streets by revolutionaries, and manipulated by criminal syndicates. The desecration of divine sanctums by mortal industry, ambition, and hostility causes gods to twist into monstrous Tatarigami; their corrupted existence, in turn, causes the fabric of magic to fray and destabilize. This instability has made the practice of magic feared and outlawed in many nations. Where industry thrives, the gods wither, and where the old ways remain, civilization stagnates. There are no heroes. There are only mercenaries, survivors, and opportunists for whom morality is a currency spent on another day of existence.

Delve into a 5E grimdark campaign setting where magic is a dying, feared art and unreliable steam-powered technology coats the world in a layer of soot and desperation. Experience desperate survival with new player mechanics, corrupted creatures, and extensive lore where no heroes are coming to save you.
A Nuanced Five-Axis Alignment System. Move beyond Good and Evil with five philosophical axes, including Industrialism vs. Naturalism and Parasitism vs. Interdependence, to shape characters with unique convictions in a world of moral ambiguity.
Unreliable Industrial Technology & Firearms. Wield powerful steam-powered industrial tools and black powder weapons, but beware the detailed Misfire System which balances the power of these new technologies with variable failure options.
New Feats, Tools, and Consumables. Customize your character with feats designed for a world of industry and strife. Take TrainedMarksman to master firearms with tactical abilities, or IndustrialCombatTraining to effectively weaponize the heavy steam-powered tools of a factory worker.
Dynamic Faction & Reputation System. Assist, resist, or manipulate 8 major powers, including industrial cartels, radical revolutionaries, and sprawling criminal syndicates. This detailed system allows you to gain and spend reputation as a resource to call in favors, creating a dynamic political game where your standing is as valuable as your gold.
Hundreds of Grimdark Adventure Hooks. The campaign setting is packed with hundreds of plot hooks, faction-specific missions, and random encounters designed for low-prep, high-impact storytelling in a world of desperation and intrigue.
New Thematic Subclasses. Explore character options built for a grimdark world, such as the Corruption Domain Cleric who is a devotee of rampant corrupted gods.
Diverse and Desperate Playable Peoples. Play as one of 19 unique lineages, each with deep roots in the world's conflicts. Choose from the one-eyed Cyclopians of Baleros trying to free their god from the Dwergar of Korath, the Ogre slave-soldiers of Gane deployed against the Powries of Keld, the reclusive Zwerge worshipping their undead god, or the hidden Ellyllon fighting a guerilla war against the advanced Empire of Ibunor.
A Bestiary of Blight and Corruption. Challenge your players with unique and terrifying foes born from the world's decay. Face corrupted entities of the gods, like the Gaospod, a parasitic curse with a full lifecycle that transforms its victims into monstrous spawn, or hunt the gods themselves, the Tatarigami, once benevolent beings twisted into living embodiments of rage and sorrow.
Richly Detailed Nations and Cultures. The setting provides extensive details on over a dozen nations and their conflicts. Explore the soot-choked streets of the theocratic capital Bellegrad, where plagues are a tool of control; the shapeshifter-infested halls of the dwarven city Kizar Korath; or the imperial city of Ibunor, a technological empire built on conquest.
A World on the Brink of Collapse. Dheghom is a closed system whose divine seals are failing, causing reality to fray. Uncover the secrets of the fractured divine as the gods themselves decay, leading to planar breaches, volatile magic, and the potential for a world-ending cataclysm.
The manual is nearly complete but, in order to be published, it needs funding for additional artwork, editing, layout, and printing costs. As funding expands beyond the original goal, additional content and rewards will be available for backers!
Choose from a number of digital add-ons from DungeonBrew to help support the project. There will be other adventures and city guides offered as well with stretch goals!
We're DungeonBrew, and our core mission is simple: to help Game Masters run truly unforgettable tabletop roleplaying games. Our story started four years ago with brothers Jonathan Boydston and Joshua Robertson. Besides being lifelong TTRPG fans, they're also fantasy novelists with published works, so crafting worlds and stories is second nature. We channel that passion into everything we make, aiming to give you practical tools and creative resources that genuinely make your game more awesome. We're striving to set a standard for GM-friendly content that's high quality, clear, and actually useful for the long haul.
We put a lot of care into our designs, focusing on quality, accessibility, and thoughtful creation. This means making tools that are both straightforward and imaginative. Beyond Jonathan and Joshua, our team includes Jace Turner, Daphne Boydston, Greg Welters, Jesse Kyle, Jason Englert, and Todd Scheuerman. We're all gamers who know the thrill of a great session, and that's what we hope to also accomplish at your gaming table with Dheghom.
The world of Dheghom is brought to life through the incredible talents of our contributing artists and creators. Their dedication and skill have been essential in shaping the visual and auditory experience of our project. We're proud to introduce the team behind the artistry:
Anthony Ba'al Abdo (Music)
Anthony masterfully created the Dheghom theme song (abridged and extended). The abridged version is heard throughout the trailer above!
As our campaign grows and we hit stretch goals, we're excited to announce that these talented artists are ready to contribute even more to the world of Dheghom!
We won't be charging for shipping & handling (and VAT) until just before the products are ready to ship. We will collect this via the pledge manager.
Shipping will be calculated and charged after the campaign concludes, via the BackerKit pledge manager.

Other Things to Know
We want to be clear about what you can expect from us and our policies regarding various aspects of your pledge. Below, you'll find details about communication, refunds, fulfillment, and more.
Communication We're committed to keeping you in the loop! We'll send out regular updates on the project page throughout production and fulfillment, aiming for at least once a month, and more frequently if exciting developments arise. We're usually quick to respond, but you can always reach us directly at [email protected] if you need assistance with your pledge.
Refunds We offer a straightforward refund policy. You can request a full refund for your pledge within 30 days of the campaign's end date, no questions asked. After this 30-day window, we unfortunately cannot process refunds. If you choose not to complete your survey or pay for shipping and taxes on time, your pledged amount will be considered a donation to the DungeonBrew project.
Fulfillment
We're diligently working to get your rewards to you! We're targeting May 2026 for the fulfillment of digital rewards and September 2026 for the fulfillment of physical rewards.
Once physical fulfillment has begun (meaning physical items have started shipping to backers), you'll have 30 days to complete and submit your surveys to receive your rewards. After this period, any backers who still haven't completed their surveys and paid their shipping and taxes will have their pledges for physical items considered a donation to the project.
Rest assured, all important dates and deadlines will be clearly communicated through campaign updates, and we'll send out regular reminders throughout the post-campaign timeline to any backers who haven't yet completed their surveys.
Damaged or Missing Items, and Lost or Misdelivered Packages We want to make sure you receive your items in perfect condition. You have 30 days after your package arrives to report any damaged or missing items in your order to [email protected]. If your order was damaged, please include pictures of the packaging so we can best assist you.
For packages that go missing, you have 45 days from the shipping date (or 60 days for international packages) to report it, and we'll work to resend or follow up on the items. Please note that if a package is sent to an incorrect address due to an error in your entry, you will be responsible for the shipping cost of the new package.
We'll notify you before addresses are locked, giving you a chance to update your address right up until fulfillment begins. If you move or your address changes for any reason, please be sure to update it in your survey promptly.
It's important for backers to provide correct and up-to-date email addresses on BackerKit and to read our updates to stay informed about deadlines and important information. Tracking information for packages will be sent to the email address you provide, so it is your responsibility to monitor your package's journey and follow up if any problems arise.
Crowdfunding is not the same as Pre-Order Please remember that backing a DungeonBrew project means you are pledging your support for the project itself, rather than strictly purchasing items. While we are committed to doing everything in our power to deliver all promised items and have a solid track record of successfully fulfilling orders of similar scale, including book publications from the developers, there is never a 100% guarantee that backers will receive their items with crowdfunding. By pledging, you acknowledge and agree to this understanding.
