This Castle Whiterock expansion brings the party into a forest dominated by lycanthropes. Can the PCs survive long enough to find their way back? Included is a DCC rules expansion to handle characters with lycanthropy.
There are some doors that should not be opened, doors that lead to very dark places. This particular door has led into a forested pocket dimension ruled by tribes of lycanthropes - a realm trapped in perpetual night. The PC's must carefully navigate this realm and learn its hidden past if they want to find their way back to their home world.
Uncounted years ago, a powerful wizard created a tiny world he called the Versuchwald - the experimental forest. This wizard brought in a variety of lycanthropes to this forest world to serve as the targets of his alchemy experiments, as he searched for immortality. After the wizard's death, unwitting visitors to his pocket world gave it a new name - Schreckenwald - or terror forest.
This adventure is designed as an add-on to the Castle Whiterock mega-dungeon, for DCC characters level 3-4. Check out the link to see the whole Castle Whiterock family of projects!
In the Forest of Terror, the PC's will encounter six different tribes of lycanthopres, grouped into three clans.
The lawful Moon Clan (remember that lawful does not mean friendly)
Werewolves and wererats
The neutral Star Clan
Werebears and wereboars
The chaotic Storm Clan
Werelynxes and werefoxes
If the party moves carefully, they could actually end up gaining one of these clans as an ally, though they are just as likely to get drawn into the ageless blood feud that ravages this forest.

Unsurprisingly, the odds of multiple characters contracting lycanthropy in this adventure are quite high - but have no fear, I've got you covered. Forest of Terror includes a rules expansion for DCC to govern characters who contract lycanthropy.
