BackerKit FAQ
How does BackerKit crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding is a collaborative way to bring ideas and projects to life. Project creators post their idea for a project, and backers pledge money to make the project possible. Backers get behind the scenes access and backer-only rewards, which can include exclusive products, special pricing, creative input, content, and more.
To become a backer, select a pledge level that features the reward(s) you would like to receive when the project is successfully completed and make your contribution.
All-or-nothing crowdfunding model: The creator sets a funding goal and a deadline to raise funds. If the project does not meet the goal by the deadline, backers credit cards are not charged and no money changes hands.
Crowdfunding projects can happen at various stages of the creative process. Make sure to check the estimated timeline of when rewards will be delivered. Project creators will keep you updated on the progress toward completion and delivery of your rewards.
Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing an item from a store. When you back a campaign you are supporting the creation of something new. Rewards are almost always delivered, but are not guaranteed.
When will I be charged for my pledge?
Your payment method will not be charged right away. You will be charged for the amount of your pledge when the campaign ends and the project reaches its funding goal. You will not be charged if the campaign does not reach its funding goal.
What happens after the campaign is over?
The Creator will send out a survey that will ask you for more information about your pledge, your shipping information, additional items you may want to add to your pledge, and collect shipping fees if applicable.
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge.
Any additional payment will be charged when you complete your survey and confirm your order.
Project FAQ
What type of game is this?
This is an expandable battle card game for 2 players. not a trading card game. Everything you need to play is in the box, aside from a friend and a table. We designed the game to use no dice or counters. To play you just need 3 comic factions (10 cards each) to shuffle together to make your deck. If you want more comics to choose from, you can get our other boxes to add to your collection
What mechanics?
The biggest systems used in the game are Shuffle Building: To make your deck, you select 3 comics, which are 10-card stacks, making the game quick and easy to start. Life Decking: When a player takes damage, they must trash that many cards from the top of their deck or their hand. slot system: there is no action points or "mana" in this game, each player has 5 slots that they control, and on their turn they can play any of their cards into one of their empty slots, event cards (one time effect) even take up a slot for the turn they where used. front and back row: characters start at the front of their slot and if they take too much damage they get wounded and move to the back of their slot, and Only when they are wounded while in the back do they go to their owner's trash. End turn draw step: at the end of the player's turn, they must draw until they have 5 cards in their hand, and if they can't, they lose. This means that every card a player uses gets them one card closer to losing. Thus, players need to choose their battles carefully and not over-invest. The draw is also at the end of the turn to allow players to read their cards during their opponents' turn and not slow turns down too much.
Where is the Game being printed
al elements of this campaign are being printed from US companies, the main game is from "drive-thru cards", the game box and dividers are from "the game crafter", and the game mats are from "print mousepads". The bulk of games will be delivered to me and then shipped from my house in California. If people order single items, they may be shipped straight to them from the printers.
