A small personal note while we’re talking genres: dystopian romance is hands-down my absolute favorite romance genre, and there’s just not nearly enough of it. We’ve got plenty of contemporary, historical, fantasy, paranormal, monster, and even sentient-object romance (truly, no shade. I've read Pounded by Produce, iykyk)… but true dystopian romance feels rarer, even though dystopian fiction itself is everywhere (and honestly, you can just look out a window in the U.S. right now 🙃).

In the last six months alone, I’ve read four dystopian romances and loved every single one. If you’re a romance reader curious about the genre—or already deep in it—these are highly recommended:

While there isn’t a stall dedicated specifically to dystopian romance as a genre, there may be a dystopian-themed pin that bridges dystopian and fantasy vibes making an appearance in The Magic Menagerie. I couldn’t resist sneaking one in.
