So, sorry for the long wait without updates. I mentioned before that since these are true life stories that I draw without a script, that I was having a hard time finding and ending point for Crime in a Resort Town.
The key to all stories is to know when to stop since if you go on too long they all end in death. Bummer, dude.
I did finish drawing the story, now to shade and letter! I also want to add a few more, shorter stories as a bonus for the long wait.
Thank you to everyone that backed the campaign and for those that sent messages asking about how the project was going.
I'm excited to update you on our progress! I'm doing stellar work on the interior illustrations, and the results are simply amazing. (If I do say so myself)
After 2 months sick, I'm eagerly diving back into our lettering work pre-holiday, ensuring every page is perfect.
All the finished artwork is lettered (you know I write as I letter, no script) It's been a wild ride, and we can't wait to show you what we've been up to! So I will.
Here's a sample page of the new stuff.
The next step is to re-read the whole story up to now, then draw the last pages, then letter them! I'll get as much done before Christmas then start up again after new year! Thanks for all your support and for sticking with us. Your enthusiasm keeps us motivated every step of the way!
The project is coming along well, I'm making super fast progress drawing the pages (no writing involved because I draw them right from memory!)
I have changed my drawing system a bit. I do a very loose sketch, then ink it. I used to draw True Noir Tales without sketching, but for this deluxe edition, I felt I needed to make it better than ever.
Here are some samples of the new art technique, they still need to be shaded.
I'll hit you up as more news comes up. Thank you again for your support!
