How does BackerKit crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding is a collaborative way to bring ideas and projects to life. Project creators post their idea for a project, and backers pledge money to make the project possible. Backers get behind the scenes access and backer-only rewards, which can include exclusive products, special pricing, creative input, content, and more.
To become a backer, select a pledge level that features the reward(s) you would like to receive when the project is successfully completed and make your contribution.
All-or-nothing crowdfunding model: The creator sets a funding goal and a deadline to raise funds. If the project does not meet the goal by the deadline, backers credit cards are not charged and no money changes hands.
Crowdfunding projects can happen at various stages of the creative process. Make sure to check the estimated timeline of when rewards will be delivered. Project creators will keep you updated on the progress toward completion and delivery of your rewards.
Backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing an item from a store. When you back a campaign you are supporting the creation of something new. Rewards are almost always delivered, but are not guaranteed.
When will I be charged for my pledge?
Your payment method will not be charged right away. You will be charged for the amount of your pledge when the campaign ends and the project reaches its funding goal. You will not be charged if the campaign does not reach its funding goal.
What happens after the campaign is over?
The Creator will send out a survey that will ask you for more information about your pledge, your shipping information, additional items you may want to add to your pledge, and collect shipping fees if applicable.
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge.
Any additional payment will be charged when you complete your survey and confirm your order.

How does this BackerKit crowdfunding thing work, anyway?
Crowdfunding is all about teamwork! You back a project you dig, and if it hits its funding goal by the deadline, it's a go! If not, no harm done.. well, maybe other than my crushed soul. :) Backers score exclusive perks like behind-the-scenes access and backer-only rewards. This could be anything from exclusive products and special pricing to creative input, content, and beyond. To jump on board, just pick a pledge level with the rewards you fancy and make your contribution. Easy peasy!
When will I get charged for my pledge?
We don't swipe your card right away. You'll get charged when the campaign wraps up and hits its goal. If it doesn't hit the mark, no charge for you!
What's the deal after the campaign ends?
Once the dust settles, you'll receive a survey asking for more deets like choosing your designs, your shipping info, any extras you want to add, and shipping fees.
How's shipping work, and are there any no-go zones?
Shipping costs come your way after the campaign, through your BackerKit survey. Shipping rates are based on your chosen pledge level and may change depending on the final campaign shipping rates. Please note that these rates are estimates for your selected pledge level only; if you add more items during the survey, shipping costs may increase. All orders are shipped via USPS with tracking. International backers are responsible for any VAT or import taxes/fees in their respective countries. Shipping times vary, but USPS First Class packages typically take 3-7 business days within the USA and 7-21 business days internationally. Please ensure your shipping address is correct before finalizing your order, as we cannot be held responsible for errors once the package is shipped. No-go zones :( I am sadly unable to ship to certain countries; please refer to the list provided. Afghanistan, Argentina, Belarus, Bhutan, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Chad, Cuba, France, Germany, Iran, Israel, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Libya, Mongolia, North Korea, Papua New Guinea, Palestine, Peru, Russian Federation, South Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic, Ukraine, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Yemen. Orders from these locations will be canceled and refunded after the campaign.

Where do I pick my pin designs?
Hang tight! About 2 weeks post-campaign, you'll get a BackerKit survey asking for your pin picks, shipping info, and any extras you're eyeing!

Will these pins grant me superpowers or fend off alien invasions?
While our pins are top-notch quality, unfortunately, they're not equipped with superhuman abilities, or anti-alien technology. Our pins are designed to elevate your style and maybe even boost your confidence enough to feel invincible! ;) Now a question for you.. how'd you become so rad?
