In the beginning, there was FairSquare Graphics, and a magazine we called Mutiny. We wanted to create a fun and diverse version of Heavy Metal. And just like HM has Taarna, we created… Mutiny. But the magazine only lasted four issues (more due to the crazy amount of work it required, sales were actually fine). For almost two years, we kept the Mutiny character on our banner at shows and people kept asking: "who is she? Are you going to give her a story?" Up until Kristal said: "alright, I'll do it!"
And we moved from Mutiny Magazine to Mutiny: Black Girl Magik. A Space Comedy adventure written by comedian (and FairSquare Graphics co-owner) Kristal Adams with art by Asiah Fulmore.
