First, I want to say thank you all so much for making Tales from Behind the Ferns a reality. Your support surpassed all my expectations!
It's been a busy month after holidays. I'm continuing making progress on the different aspects of the project: maps, illustrations and polishing writing. One of the two main zines is at 80% completion, and I'm starting the second one. 26 of 44 paper minis are ready. Things are moving forward, so stay tuned! I'll share a couple of NPCs that can be found in the forest:
As we head into the final days of the campaign, here's a final preview: new sketches, a new map (still in development!), and another full sheet of finished paper minis!
Thanks to the wonderful support of everyone who has backed Tales from Behind the Ferns, we've reached our goal of adding more pages to the zines! The layout will now be more spacious and feature more art.
It's time for a new goal: an A3 poster map! The target is ambitious, but let's see how far we can go. Fingers crossed!
In the meantime, here I share this sketch of a view of Ginkgo Village, a key location.
You've helped to unlock so many stretch goals! and now the bundle comes with a massive set of 44 paper miniatures! Yes, 44, it's insane! You could practically play wargames with them.
I love how the minis enhance the tactile tabletop experience, just like Mausritter's iconic inventory system. As an enthusiast of three-dimensionality, I like them to have a front and back view, so you know which way your characters are facing. This means designing two perfectly aligned drawings. I hope you like these minis as much as I enjoyed creating them!
