PROJECT UPDATE
Project Update: It's time for Go Play NW 2024!
Go Play NW 2024 starts Friday!
- If your pledge included a digital dungeon map, we'll be sending that out soon.
- If your pledge included the tote bag or the risograph print poster of the dungeon, we'll have those for you at the registration desk when you check in.
- And if your pledge included attendance at this year's event, here's some quick info you'll need, with links to our website for more.
Where and when
Go Play NW 2024 happens at the Centilia Cultural Center, right next to the Beacon Hill light rail station in Seattle. Find a map, directions, information about the neighborhood (including food), and more on our Venue page.
Everything kicks off at 1 PM Friday! Saturday and Sunday, doors open at 8:30 AM. See the full schedule.
Policies
We’re taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
- At check-in, we’ll require you to show us either proof of vaccination within the past year (since July 26, 2023) or a digital photo of a negative rapid test taken within the past 72 hours. (Please do not bring the test itself!) We will have some rapid tests available at registration.
- We will also be requiring KN-95 or equivalent masks to be worn indoors throughout the event. We will have masks available
For more information, see our 2024 COVID-19 Policy.
We expect everyone to abide by our Code of Conduct and our other Policies, including our Photography Policy.
Games
We’ll have an area by registration with menus for the advance scheduled games. You can sign up there for any games that still have space available, and you can also post a game there if you don’t want to pitch it in the Donut.
We’ll be holding our pitch circle, the Donut, at the start of every game session. This is a great way to meet new people and try out games you might not know!
We’ll also have a game library table where you can borrow a game for a session. These are generously loaned by members of our community; please take care of them and remember to put them back!
Finally, there will be a separate giveaway table where you can leave games for others to take off your hands, permanently. Note that you are responsible for anything left there—if no one takes it, you’ll need to bring it home with you!
Thanks again to all of you who pledged to make Go Play NW 2024 happen!

Project Update: Final call for backer surveys!
Hey everyone, this coming Monday June 3, we will be hitting the Lock Orders with Final Notice button on the Pledge Manager. At that point you'll have 48 hours to make any more changes to your pledge, including ordering a tote bag or dungeon map poster as an add-on, telling us your name and pronouns for your badge, and telling us what name or organization you want recognized as a table, room, or con sponsor.
Most of you have already filled out the survey; thanks for that! A few of you though still need to get us your name and pronouns for your badge, so please respond now!

Project Update: Survey reminder
Hey everyone, just a quick reminder to fill out your Pledge Manager survey! Most of you have already, and we appreciate that! Sometimes a friendly nudge is all you need to remember to sit down and do a thing, so that's all this is.
We just had our Online Spring Festival this past weekend, and everyone had a great time! Big thanks to our Tech Committee—Kona, Star, Jerry, and Travis—who put in a lot of work to make sure we didn't skip an online event this year, and to our volunteers Bill, AnnaMaria, and Andi, plus our safety advocate Red, who helped facilitate the event through the weekend.
Coming up next of course is the July in-person event! We'll be opening up general ticket sales soon, and will keep you posted on that so you can tell any friends who missed the crowdfunding campaign!

Project Update: Surveys have been sent!
Hey everyone, just a quick note that all the Pledge Manager surveys have gone out! Check your email for the link!
Also, we overlooked a detail—we forgot to update our timeline before sending the surveys. The Pledge Manager is not locking down this Wednesday April 24. While we do hope you'll get your surveys filled out soon, don't worry, you have more than a day to get that done! We're currently expecting to lock things down by June 1 so we have time to get the physical rewards produced, and we'll send a reminder before we do so.
Sorry for any confusion! Thanks to those of you who've already responded!
Oh and by the way, don't forget that we also have our online Spring Festival coming up soon, Saturday May 4 and Sunday May 5, on our Discord server. We hope to see you then!

Project Update: Pledge Manager is opening, surveys are going out!
Hey everyone, we’re ready to launch the Pledge Manager and send out our backer surveys!
For most of you, this is when you’ll tell us the name and pronouns you want on your badge. For some of you, you’ll also let us know what name or organization you want recognized for sponsoring our event. And for all of you, this is your final opportunity to order the tote bag and/or dungeon map poster, as well as pick up additional badges or sponsorships, through the add-ons.
Initially the survey will go out to only a small number of you, to give us a chance to make sure we’ve got everything set up correctly for the different levels, and then we’ll send it out to the rest of you. So if you don’t get a survey right away, don’t panic, it’s coming!
Please do fill out your survey as soon as you can! Although we’re not shipping any physical rewards, we do still need time to get those produced, and that goes too for preparing the badges and sponsorship recognitions.
Thanks so much for your support! We can’t wait to see you in July, it’ll be sooner than you think!
