There’s nothing quite like drifting through warm Hawaiian waters, surrounded by coral (sometimes sand and grass), creatures, and that natural peace you find once surrounded by the blue.
This pin collection was inspired by the beauty of scuba diving in Hawaiʻi and the amazing sea life we discover beneath the waves. Each design is a little love letter to the ocean, the calm, the wonder, and the joy of exploring the reef.
A symbol of wisdom, endurance, and good luck, the Honu is one of the most magical sights you can encounter underwater. Green sea turtles are known for traveling thousands of miles across the ocean, often returning to the same beaches where they were born. Spotting one gliding effortlessly through the water is the kind of moment that makes you forget about everything around you.
Octopus (Heʻe)
Elusive and endlessly fascinating, the Heʻe is a true master of disguise. Octopuses can change both color and texture in an instant, blending seamlessly into coral, rock, or sand. With no bones, they can squeeze through openings no larger than their beak — making every sighting feel like a special reward for observant divers who take the time to really look.
Reef Trigger Fish (Humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa)
Bold, curious, and impossible to forget, the Humuhumunukunukuapuaʻa is Hawaiʻi’s state fish and a favorite encounter on the reef. Triggerfish get their name from a unique dorsal spine that can “lock” into place, wedging them securely into the reef when they sleep or feel threatened. Just remember — during nesting season, this feisty fish has no problem defending its territory from unsuspecting divers!
Ornate Butterfly Fish (Kīkākapu)
Graceful and unmistakable, the Ornate Butterfly Fish is a reef staple in Hawaiʻi, often spotted gliding effortlessly over coral gardens. These fish are known for forming long-term pair bonds, frequently seen swimming side-by-side with the same partner. Watching a Kīkākapu duo move in perfect sync is a quiet reminder of how connected life on the reef can be.
Meet Fiscado, the cutest fish avocado you ever did see. Fishcado likes to spend time swimming through the fruit section of your favorite grocery store making friends along the way.
