Project FAQ
Yes! The rubber 36"x36" play mat is a crowdfunding exclusive, as is the set of diecut cardstock pogs and pawns. The leatherbound edition is also a crowdfunding exclusive. In addition, the Hydro74 cover will be printed only once. Backers will receive the majority of the run and the balance will be sent to hobby game stores only, not Amazon or other such channels.
The Dragon Rider’s Primer rules content has been designed and annotated so that it can be played using either version of the rules.
Subclasses will include notations that indicate how they’re to be used in this way. We’re very interested in everyone being able to enjoy this rules expansion, regardless of which version of the 5E game they choose to play.
What’s good for the players’ characters is good for your villains as well. We would encourage you to equip your villains with mounts of their own. Half the fun is in being able to have a good dog fight!
There are already 36 mounts in this book, which is enough for quite the campaign! That said, if you enjoy what you see here, there are plans to expand our offerings to include all types of flying mounts in future products.
Not at all. Flying mounts are meant to be an additional option for travel, in addition to being a vehicle for mounted aerial combat. Like a horse, camel, or other ground mount, these creatures can be left outside the dungeon when it is appropriate, or when they simply don’t have enough room. How the players’ characters manage these situations is simply one more challenge for them to address in the course of play.
Shipping will be charged during the pledge manager phase, after the fundraising campaign is completed. Shipping charges are not included in the basic pledge levels.
In general we will have international-friendly shipping. EU/UK shipments will originate from a UK-based shipping point. AUS/NZ/SEA shipments will originate from an AUS-based shipping point. CAN shipments will originate from a CAN-based shipping point.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
