I imagine my game and this book are the furthest things from your mind in the past 12 months. But I also don't want there to be any ambiguity about my presence or the assurance that I haven't gone AWOL.
I haven't. It's just been a time.
I'm not sure what always to talk about in these updates besides the general "I'm here, I exist, I'm a person" stuff. And also expressing empathy for what the rest of you are experiencing. Which is a lot. It's a whole damn lot.
There is, however, one unambiguously good thing that is currently taking up all of my time:
Very small feet
My partner and I have become new parents for the first time. It is pretty incredible. It gives me light and life. I am primary caregiver as my partner's parental leave has officially ended. They have returned to work away from home, so it's a lot of me and the baby. I am rocking their bouncy chair with one foot even as I write this.
I'll write another update soon. One sooner than the previous one. I love this project; no pun intended. There's so much of me in it: the things I care about and want from life and games, and what it all can be and mean, and does mean, to me. In the next update, I'll talk about the game itself, the design, the process.
I come with some unfortunate news. Work and the world and family things have taken a toll and I do not believe a September release will be possible. Fall still seems doable, if not the end-of-the-year holidays.
Somethings to talk about:
I continue to support Mythworks' efforts at cons and online. Come play a game or two on the Discord! https://discord.gg/MAcdT6c2CD
Origins just passed, as well as ALA in Philly. Good, but exhausting times.
GenCon is so so soon. The Mythworks megagame will be premiering (and is sold out). If you'll be around, come by booth 2669 or by our Events' Area in the JW Marriott, Room 101!
Love shall find a way! Thank you again for all your support and patience.
We are at the last 48 hours of the campaign. It's just me behind the curtain over here at Love Gods HQ. Please share this project to help it rise like a Love Balloon!
One of the core aspects of creating the Cutest Town is a player favorite: What adorable local cryptid is embraced by the townsfolk?
We are wrapping the "Love for the Love Gods" campaign in the next few coming days. It is both exciting and nerve-wracking. My previous campaign, "Under the Autumn Strangely" garnered 533 backers when barely a soul knew I existed.
Please share the project with anyone you think might intrigued by the premise and themes! I appreciate it so very deeply.
I'm going to be asking questions from the text to help us make our "Cutest Town" to appease the inscrutable Love Gods! SO!
What is a broad general theme embraced by everyone in our town? Such as purple, apricots, or snails. Post below!
Zine Quest and Zimo are all about community. The nervous energy of creators taking the plunge is truly something special. It's very much a "Selling CDs out of the trunk of your car at the punk show" energy. What projects have you seen that you're the most excited about or that need a little love?
Please check these projects out! And share them and "Love for the Love Gods" with people you think might love them too!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/janatee/imagine-queer-worlds Imagine Queer Worlds challenges that norm, encouraging creators to imagine societies with fluid sexes, unique gender expressions, and diverse perspectives on attraction.
