Project Update: Update
From Wes
Hello everyone! I’m sorry for the delay in getting this update out to all of you but I wanted to wait until I had some news worth sharing. I’ve spent the fast few months, converting The Orshin Incident over to Cypher. During the process I edited the text for more clarity, adjusted some of the layout, and altered all the mechanical language in the text. I’ve also now read both the Cypher Character Rulebook and the Cypher GM’s Guide cover to cover and I am confident that my conversions are consistent with Cypher’s shifted emphasis.
What does all this mean? I’m ready to play test!
I’ve still got to test how we’re porting over the characters from the ICRPG version, or if we’ll just go with a new crew using Cypher’s Open License Materials. The latter is probably where I’m leaning, but I’ll spend some time given each character a small bit of backstory and role-playing prompts. I can say The Orshin Incident is going to used the Space Opera Genre for its setting. Yes, it’s a sci-fi horror adventure with a nod toward a certain franchise which features murderous aliens, but it’s also been influenced by the amazing Farscape universe—Space Opera Fits it well.
I’ll let Dave update you all about art, maps, and the Ironbound conversion of the adventure. Up next for me is the Cypher play test, after which I’ll finish absorbing Darkspace and begin my conversion for that excellent system! We’ve also go some polishing of the ICRPG version that we want to finish up, but we’re excited to get this adventure into people’s hands!
From Dave
I am not going to be as eloquent as Wes. I have designed and written the classes, the mechanic and rewrote most of the adventure for the Bound System. I am about halfway done the EZD6 version of the game. Our current artist is super busy so art might take some time. I am looking at possible hiring other artist to supplement the main one. I have play tested the Bound system.
Surveys are ready to be sent out. They should come to your email this week.
Thank you all for being so patient and supportive.

Project Update: You Got Us So Close… So We’re Unlocking It Anyway
First of all, thank you. Because of you, The Orshin Incident reached $2,793.50. That puts us just $6.50 shy of our
$2,800 stretch goal. Six dollars and fifty cents. That is incredible.
$2,800 stretch goal. Six dollars and fifty cents. That is incredible.
The support, the shares, the comments, and the excitement around this project have meant more than we can say. Watching this campaign grow because of this community has been one of the most rewarding parts of creating The Orshin Incident. Being that close to the goal feels like something special, and it speaks to how much this community believes in what we are building.
So we made a decision. We are unlocking the stretch goal anyway.
That means every pre-generated character in The Orshin Incident will receive custom character art. Not only that, but we will also be creating digital tokens for each of them so they are ready to drop directly into your favorite virtual tabletop platform.
We want this project to feel complete. You brought us to the edge of that goal, and we believe that deserves to be celebrated. Your support continues to inspire us, and we are beyond grateful for every single one of you who backed, shared, and cheered this project on.
Thank you for believing in Grimwood Games. Thank you for backing indie creators. Thank you for helping bring Orshin Station to life.
More updates soon.

Project Update: 4 Stretch Goals Unlocked
We did it!
Thanks to your incredible support, Orshin Incident has officially unlocked FOUR stretch goals! Your backing continues to push this project further than I imagined, and I am beyond grateful.
Because of you, we are now adding PDF versions of the adventure for both Cypher System and Darkspace. That means even more ways to experience the horror, tension, and sci-fi dread of Orshin Station.
And we are not slowing down.
We have just added two brand new stretch goals:
• Specialized Character Sheets tailored specifically for each system
• New Character Art for every pre-generated character
• New Character Art for every pre-generated character
These additions will deepen immersion and give each version of the game its own distinct feel at the table.
This project keeps growing because of you. Every share, every pledge, every comment fuels this momentum. Let’s keep pushing and unlock even more before the campaign ends.
Thank you for helping bring Orshin Incident and its horrific vision to life.

Project Update: We’re Funded! Orshin Incident Is Coming to Life
We did it.
Thanks to your incredible support, Orshin Incident is officially funded. Hitting our goal means this project is no longer just an idea. It is becoming a real, physical thing we get to put into your hands, and that is because of you.
Reaching this milestone lets us fully commit to bringing Orshin Incident and its horrific vision to life: the tension, the mystery, the creeping dread, and the moments where things go very, very wrong. Every pledge pushes this world further into existence, from the story and mechanics to the unsettling details that make Orshin feel alive and dangerous.
We are also already moving beyond the core goal, unlocking stretch content that adds even more characters, monsters, and nightmares to uncover. This early momentum is huge, and it sets the tone for the rest of the campaign.
Thank you for believing in this project, for backing it early, and for helping shape what Orshin Incident will become. We cannot wait to show you what is next.
The doors are open.
The lights are flickering.
And Orshin is just getting started.
