Thank you! First off, we have 24 hours left and over 100 backers! This is fantastic. Being an indie solo developer and not doing any advertising... this is super cool and I feel very grateful for the support. I can't wait to get the game in front of all of you!!
Print Updates First off. The book margins and what not have all been updated, approved and new proofs have been ordered. It was a lot of work but I like the newer format much better. I've added some more artowrk and now the page count is 172 pages. Once the proofs come in, if all is good, then we should be done with all of that.
VTT Updates Datasworn is done and a pull request is in. I've started on the Roll20 character sheet which includes all the moves and oracles. I'm basing the character sheet off of the Ironsworn: Starforged one, which while it does technically use datasworn, it unfortunately doesn't use the new 0.1.0 version which Fe-Runners is built on. So a lot of the JSON parsing..well all of it... had to be rewritten. But the new format is nice (IMHO) and the r20 starforged team can always use my code when they are ready to use the new datasworn format. Here is a screenshot of the moves screen.
There is still a lot of work to do. The moves don't work right yet as datasworn uses a markdown format and I need to convert it dynamically to html. I also need to get the oracles working correctly for automated rolling etc. I'm sure there will also be some table cleanup but the good news is that it's working and I am just in bug hunting mode!
What to expect next I'm new to backerkit so some of this may be a bit off but I *think* this is how the flow will go. Once this ends I will send out a survey where you can update things like your credit card and address. You will also be able to change your pledge leves and add or subtract things. There is a 2 week window for adjustments.
After the 2 weeks is up then everything is locked down and payments run. On success, I import all the backers into DriveThruRPG. You will then recieve an link in your email to get your PDFs and if you ordered physical materials you will be able to adjust your address (again) and pay for whatever shipping you want.
I will be providing more updates as I do these steps, so don't feel you need to memorize any of this. I just wanted to set your expectations and timeline on completion. It can take a week or two to get the proofs on the physical copies of the books. So if there is an issue, the PDFs will go out first and I'll update you if there is a delay on getting the books out. But hopefully, with any luck, everything will be out by the end of Sept.
