So sending out PDFs has proved a bit tricky, with the distribution rules seeming to apply themselves inconsistently on whether "locked down" is enough to send coupons, or if your physical mailing address will be need to be locked. Now for obvious reasons, until we're actually ready to lock addresses, I don't want to lock them.
This does mean that potentially some of you won't get send your PDFs until we do lock addresses. I continue to thump the interface behind the scenes, and with some success. We'll get you your PDFs of course. It might just take a little while.
Anyway - I came here to say that I've just sent everyone a PDF file directly via Backerkit - not as part of the Drivethru integration. This is The Horse Child, which is one of the three adventures from the GMs Companion. This went out free to the backers of our last Kickstarter campaign, and I figure since most of you are getting the GM's Companion, we'll send it to you too.
Hopefully you'll be able to grab it slightly more easily than the Drivethru files from last week? Let me know how you get on in the comments.
In progress news we're placing art in the GM's Companion, so that's going very nicely. Outwith that, the print run of the Maskwitches core book should arrive in our warehouse next week, and we have everything else on hand for the start of fulfilment. Nice.

Hopefully everything has been set up correctly to deliver you DrivethruRPG PDF codes - this is my preferred option, since you can get any and all future updates to those titles.
For example, we just updated the Maskwitches core book PDF, because thanks to your support here, we've been able to order an offset print run of the book! This is a significant upgrade on the previous hardcovers: they will all have sewn bindings, and an additional couple of art spreads to bring the page count up to 176 pages. The PDF now includes those pages.
We're awaiting delivery of that print run right now - we commissioned it as soon as the funds arrived with us, and we've printed it in the UK, and it should be with us in less than 2 weeks, allowing us to keep on schedule.
We're also still to print the GM's Companion, but that will also be printed in the UK, at a printer we use all the time, with a very fast turnaround.
We have been taking delivery of all the other books we needed to restock over the last couple of weeks, so we now have stacks and stacks of Ice Caves, Meat Spoilers et al ready to go.
So it's all happening.
The GM's Companion is about to enter editing, so that's all happening on schedule too. Nice.
Here are some new images I've been making - not sure if these will go in or not, but you can never have too many. I am procrastinating on making the final selections, because as usual I've shot hundreds of images, and we "only" need about 60. Maybe more if we do some split pages.
I've been getting heavily into vintage Soviet camera lenses lately, so I've been making good use of those. I'm also adding "camera lenses" to the layers of language of the project, which already uses puppets, and masks to talk about characters in roleplaying games. The way we look at those things through different lenses seems like a worthwhile thing for me to think about.

Surveys! Mea culpa, I'm going to be a pest about this: if you want to be in phase one dispatch, surveys are now needed. I'm going to lock addresses for completed surveys in two days, on Saturday - that's the 15th of August. We'll then spend a bit of time collating all the information, and then we'll start picking and packing.
Anyone who hasn't done their survey at that time then goes into phase two dispatch. Details of when that will happen are murky - we will prioritise phase one, and not worry about phase two until that first phase is done.
We'll then set a new date for locking phase two surveys. Backers who miss phase two will then go into phase three. Which we might send or we might deliver to the lake. I dunno. Can't be sure.
For PDF backers we need you to complete your survey so that we have your email address for those PDF coupons.

Eclipse! Last night there was a solar eclipse visible in Scotland. Now typically the clouds were in full evidence but we did get some amazing moments. A couple of years back I wasn't prepared when we had some wild northern lights, so I now I have a kit ready to capture photos of Maskwitches models against any kind of celestial phenomena. And it was worth it! We'll squeeze at least one of these into the GM's Companion. Using an eclipse as a set is too good to pass up!

It's much much easier for us, and better for you, if everyone does their survey in the next week or so. It's not long or complex - we just need your address for shipping, and a card to pay for shipping if you pledged for physical rewards.Once your survey is done we also get your email for PDFs. You'll also get a chance to pledge for anything else you might want.
I know we're all really busy, with loads of email coming in round the clock. So: If you don't do your survey by the 15th of August, we'll put your pledge into "phase two" shipping, so that folks who get it done aren't left waiting. Phase two will be a separate process to the main dispatch, and we will make all the arrangements for phase two once phase one is done.
This means I do not know exactly when phase two backers will have their rewards shipped - out of fairness, our priority has to be folks who do their survey nice and fast!
Later on, we'll set a date for locking phase two, and if you miss that, you'll go into phase 3. If you miss that, then unfortunately there will be no choice but to have your entire community devoured by a ten thousand year old demon from the ice made of pine tar and rabies.

Once those are done and everything looks like it's working, I'll send out the rest. Hopefully that will be on or before this Monday the 10th of August.
I am aiming to lock orders around the 15th of the month, and then charge cards on the 17th, so we can keep everything moving along.
