Project Update: 🥳 Happy New Year! Did you get your books?

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you an even better 2025!
Did you get your books?
Did anyone get them before Christmas? I sure hope so.
If you haven't received your books yet, please let me know.
For my Canadian Heroes, the post office is still telling me to wait before I send your parcels, but rest assured that they will be in the mail just as soon as I get the go-ahead.

You can leave a review anywhere you like buy or talk about books – on my website, Apple Books, Kobo, B&N*, Goodreads, a billboard in Times Square, laser cut into the moon… I won't complain.

Project Update: 🎄📚The Books Have Left The Building!

The last of the special editions* found their way to the post office yesterday, and tracking numbers have been sent! If you haven't received your tracking number, let me know.
(*except for Canadian backers. Apologies, I will get your parcels to you as soon as I can)
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least some (if not most) of you will receive your parcels before Christmas, but if not it should be early in the New Year.
Digital campaign badges
All of the digital campaign badges went out the other other day as well! I sent them directly to your BackerKit email address, hopefully they didn't land in your Junk folder.
Ebook downloads
A couple of people have had difficulty downloading their ebooks, because the download links were set to expire at the end of November . In case you didn't get to download them before then, I have now sent your ebooks directly to your BookFunnel library, where you’ll always be able to access them.
To get your books, just log in to the BookFunnel app or my.bookfunnel.com using your BackerKit email address.

I have another campaign kicking off January!
This is a special edition limited to just 100 copies, and features the first few chapters of the first book in my upcoming xianxia/Norse-inspired epic fantasy series, Woman in White. Project Update: 🥳 The books are here & they're about to start shipping!

Look what came in the mail!
The special edition paperbacks came out even better than I expected; apparently my printer thought so too, because they made an extra copy just to add to their collection!
Remember how we unlocked the illustrated chapter headers? Well, they're a hidden message, which if you can decode it gives a little sneak peek into the sequel and I Am Maggie (check the link at the end of the update for more info).
The books were the last bit of kit to come in, which means... it's time to starting packing!
If you pledged for a physical book, you should have received a "last chance to update your shipping address" notice. If you need to do so, please do it now, because I will start shipping books in the next few days.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that most of you will be your books by Christmas, or at the very least early in the New Year.
Also, everyone should keep an eye out for the last of the digital rewards, the campaign badge.

Project Update: 👻 Ebooks are on their way!

Well, it took me a little longer than planned but I finished proofing Gamer! The puppy(-not-a-puppy) kept strict watch, making sure I didn't slack off as I corrected typos. Luckily, there were no missing chapters or Acknowledgments, so it was all pretty easy.
Of course, now that the proofing is done…
Ebooks are on their way!
You should receive an email from BackerKit very shortly with links to (almost) all of your digital rewards, including your special early copy of Gamer. The only reward you won't be receiving just yet is the Digital Campaign Badge, but I'll have that to you shortly.
If you're missing any of your digital rewards, or have a problem with one of the download links, please let me know and we'll get it sorted.
About physical rewards
Physical rewards, including the special edition paperback, are in progress; we're just waiting on printing the Gamer special edition, and for the bookmarks, book bags and Oracle Cards to arrive before shipping.

Project Update: 💪 The final hurdle... the ebooks are sooo close!
Heya Heroes,
Today is a very exciting day… it is the day I start the final proof of Gamer.
This is always the last stage in my process; after all the writing and reading and rewriting and rereading and editing and reediting, comes the layout for print and last but not least… the proofing. To be honest, it's not my favourite part but I never skip it because I always find some kinda whoopsie, like the time an entire chapter was repeated in Hero or that other time I'd forgotten a chapter in one of the Echo books.
Once the proof is done and I've corrected the mistakes that will inevitably pop up, Gamer goes to print and the ebooks will be winging their way to your inbox.
So, between now and then, wish me luck.
