Huckleberry's text will be released under a license to make it accessible to anyone who wants to hack the system, release compatible bounties, or whatever else their creativity can cook up. There are a few options for licenses and I want to pick the one that most people will feel comfortable using. The first choice is having simple license terms on Huckleberry's website, offering plain language and clarity on what is allowed and what isn't. This would be similar to the licenses offered by Mork Borg, Draw Steel, and others. This is probably the most approachable and accessible option. The second choice is to use the ORC license, created by Paizo but entered into public domain. This license is a bit more robust and focuses on protecting certain parts of a game's IP. It has the benefit of being designed expressly for the purposes of TTRPG, but might be a bit of overkill for Huckleberry's needs. The third option is a Creative Commons license. CC has been around for a long time and proven to be a powerful tool, but wasn't designed with games in mind. Nonetheless, it is still quite viable for Huckleberry and has proven to be ironclad. When picking from the poll, put yourself in the shoes of a designer. If *YOU* were to create content for Huckleberry, which would you feel most comfortable with?
