Project FAQ
Toon Morgue is a grimdark, rubberhose cartoon-inspired setting for the MÖRK BORG system. You play as a Loonatic, in a decaying world that blends wackiness with twisted humor, a world destined to collapse in on itself.
When the campaign closes, you’ll get a survey through BackerKit to confirm your pledge, shipping info, and any add-ons you’d like to grab. After that, we’ll move into production: finishing art, design, and layout. Then handle printing and fulfillment. Updates will be shared at least monthly so backers know exactly where things stand. I will remain active on socials and other platforms, open to messages so that the backers know that the project is proactively being worked on.
The writing and core mechanics are complete, but the book is still in production especially regarding layout, design, and illustrations. The funds from this Kickstarter will go directly toward paying the team of artists, layout designers, and production costs to bring the book to life in its final form. Your support literally helps draw this world into existence.
Toon Morgue includes the setting's lore, locations, NPCs, enemies, random tables, custom classes, a one-shot adventure, along with a brand new Sanity system.
Nope! Toon Morgue is a standalone experience. All the rules you need to play are included, along with original lore and any additional mechanics I've created. No other books required.
No, it's not needed. The Fool's Errand is fully playable with a standard 52-card-deck (like the ones used in poker - numbered cards, J, Q, K, A, plus the Jokers). The custom deck is not necessary, it's mostly for those who want a themed, in-world themed version with unique art and style.
No. All writing, worldbuilding, and design were done by me. All creative content - including art - is hand-crafted or made using non-AI methods and I will be crediting every artist involved with the project.
Yes. Toon Morgue has already been playtested across multiple sessions to fine-tune its mechanics, tone, and pacing. Feedback from these games has helped refine rules and balance class abilities. Playtesting will continue throughout development, and I even plan to run sessions for a few randomly selected backers.
Yes! All physical backers will also receive the PDF version at no extra cost. You'll get it before physical fulfillment begins.
Toon Morgue is expected to ship in Summer 2026. I'll keep backers updated throughout the process from final writing and layout, to printing, and shipping. Delays are always possible with indie projects, but my goal is to deliver on time or as close as possible.
We ship to most countries, but unfortunately we cannot deliver to certain regions due to customs restrictions, unreliable postal services, or extremely high shipping costs. At this time, we are unable to ship to Russia, Belarus, Brazil, South Africa, and a few other regions with frequent delivery issues. If your country isn’t available at checkout, please contact us — we’ll do our best to find a solution, but we cannot guarantee fulfillment outside our supported regions.
We will honor refund requests up until funds are transferred to us from BackerKit (usually 14 days after the campaign ends). After that point, all pledges are considered final, as funds will already be allocated to production and fulfillment costs. If you made a pledge by mistake or need to adjust before funds are collected, you can modify or cancel your pledge directly through BackerKit. Please note: - We cannot refund payment processing fees charged by Stripe/BackerKit. - Once manufacturing begins, we cannot issue refunds except in cases of damaged or missing items, which will be replaced whenever possible.
Absolutely! You can message me directly through Backerkit or reach out via my Instagram page. I'm always happy to chat about the game.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
