Project Update: Third Stretch Goal Hit! Now Our Hex Minimap Tile Sets Will Have 80 Tiles!

Yesterday we hit our stretch goal to add 8 more tiles to our Hex Minimap Tiles set making that now 80 tiles!

I wanted to have the next stretch goal ready, but the vast majority of votes are to switch our planned stickers to vinyl clings and unfortunately I simply don't have the samples yet.  I will likely have one manufacturer's sample on Friday, but the other samples won't come until next week. In any case, because the cost to switch might be significant I need to wait until I have the samples before I set the next stretch goal.  Also, the printer's order quantity price discounts for our decks and tiles are further apart as we go higher. So those two factors mean the next goal will be more than the $8,000 of our prior stretch goals.  :(  Hopefully I'll have that ironed out by early/mid next week! You can help me narrow down our options by answering this poll.

But with 2/3 of the project timeline to go, I'm almost positive we'll get it worked out and hit the goal for them and more!

Also, I've added a couple of extra add-on rewards that can help us get to these higher stretch goals.  Inkwell Ideas has a ton of prior products, so I wanted to be selective with what we added to avoid too much complexity.  These two extra add-ons are from a crowdfunding last year and do complement this project very well.

First, Restless Encounters is a deck of 50+ single card encounter ideas for when the party makes camp and is on watch.  A strange traveler may visit the party's camp, or some goblins may play some hijinks, or a flying mount's rider may (literally!) drop in. Some are combat focused, but most can be handled with role-playing or problem solving.

Second, our Encounter Builder series of three decks are each 50+ cards with full color art on each side.  Create an encounter by simply laying out a few cards and look for connections to set a scene--like an oracle reading or using story cubes. Each deck has a theme: City, Dungeon, and Wilderness.

Finally, as usual I like to highlight some other noteworthy projects.  Today's is by Tim van Dalen, so is another gifted creator in a group of TTRPG creator's I'm a part of. In this project he continues exploring his Freebone Vale setting with a collection of zines each highlighting a unique NPC, as well as a short adventure/encounter focusing on that NPC.

And the other project I want to highlight has cartography by Dyson Logos (like the hex tiles in this project), writing by Andrew Shields (as the cards in this project) and is by Inkwell Ideas.  Our Dungeonmorph Delves and Descriptions: Crypts, Lairs, & Sewers Edition is today's DriveThruRPG Deal of the Day.  If you haven't seen it, this book gives six encounter ideas for multiple areas on all 48 mini-dungeon designs from our DungeonMorph Crypts dice set, all 48 designs from our Sewers dice set, and all 48 designs from our Lairs dice set.  And it has a framework for Solo or GM-less play. Check the preview download on the linked page for examples.  But at $4 for over 200 pages, it is a steal!  While you can use the designs with the dice (available on our website), or cards or 10" battlemat tiles, the small maps by Dyson are included in the book so you only need the book. Further, everything DungeonMorph at DriveThru has a similar deep discount.  And if you want anything not on DriveThru, Dungeonmorphs are also on our website at a 15% discount with the code in the site's header.

Thanks again!
Joe

Stickers seem like a bad idea, did you consider vinyl instead? Even thin plastic tokens would be more reusable and less likely to damage the tiles.
