Project Update: Future of GEAS

Hi All!  Just wanted to give you a sneak peak of the next GEAS project in the works. The way we work here at Izegrim Creations is that we're 99% done with a project before we even launch a crowdfunding campaign. That ensures that you know you're getting what you paid for as quickly as possible, not waiting a year or longer to get your stuff.

It also allows us to gauge interest and start work on future projects. So what's the next project?

The Hoard! (Placeholder name)

What is it? A supplement book focused on those age-old enemies: orcs and goblins.  Not the friendly, smiling, waifu orcs or goblins, but the malevolent, corrupted, and wholly evil orcs and goblins. This isn't an indictment against the modernization of orcs and goblins. We fully understand why and how WotC felt the need to make the changes they did. In fact, in the GEAS core books you're getting, both are playable ancestries that fit the more modern approach (orcs and goblins can have any morality or culture, avoid stereotypes or cultural appropriation, etc.). So it's safe to say we recognize the problematic traits classic orcs and goblins may have had (ahem, Drums on Fire Mountain), and why there was a need for change.

That being said, there is also room to have these humanoids as classic villains as long as we avoid those historical pitfalls. Whether infected by the powers of corruption, formed by evil deities, or twisted by cursed magic, orcs and goblin clans of The Hoard embrace a surrealistic, evil, and more mature approach to this classic enemy. This supplement has more than ten unique ancestries in great detail (including the classic pig-faced orcs!), a pantheon of evil deities and their rituals, and unique artifacts, spells, and monsters.

Who better to capture this surrealistic dark theme than the accomplished artist Luiz Prado.  We are excited to share with you some of Luiz's art that will appear in this book, with several specially commissioned pieces yet to be seen. Luiz perfectly captures the theme and style you can expect in this book.

Expect it sometime in 2025.
