Hey, hey Bloodling!

Just wanted to send a quick update letting you know The Covenant of Blood Audiobook Campaign officially launched!

Today is the last day to grab the Early Bird Reward: a digital mini-Choose-Your-Own-Adventure story set in the Bloodlines Universe. Think of it like those old Goosebumps novels, but on a computer!

Because this project failed the first time I ran it, I want to make sure The Covenant of Blood doesn't have to. So, if you followed this project, but haven't been getting my updates or emails, here's what you missed:

I've learned a lot since the failure of this first audiobook campaign (which, succeeded the second time, thankfully!). One, is that a cross-collab does a lot of good. So, this year, I've partnered with Alyson Lindt on her project Hacking Wonderland. If you pledge for both our campaigns, you'll get a really cool cross-collab poster for FREE. Check the updates on my campaign page to get a sneak peek of what it'll look like!

The second thing I learned is that audiobooks are a lot more expensive to create than I initially thought, and they're difficult to crowdfund (especially as an indie).

But!

If enough people pitch in, we can make it happen. And we should!  Not because it helps me (which it does), but because reading should be accessible. I pride myself on being as inclusive as possible (even if I get it wrong sometimes), and providing an audiobook to readers who need it is a dream. 

For perspective, at the time I'm writing this email, The Covenant of Blood audiobook is at $225 out of $3500. If audiobooks are your jam, this is the time to support! Whether it's monetarily, a click, a follow, or a share, every little bit helps!
